Quiet town, Chinese food in town was cheap, but had no favor, gas prices were great, did go to the Wildlife Refuge drive, nothing to see don't waste your time, rural place that did seem very peaceful, good place to just do an overnighter in a hotel and be on your way

At least 2 Towels were not clean.

At least 2 Towels were not clean. Mattress & pillows were worn out. Mushy room smell. Complained to front desk at around 11:15 ish pm about loud noise in the parking space in front of our door. She asked if it was white van, I said yes. She said she take of it, she not only did not take but 2 more vans came in. Noise continue way after 1am. We had to be up but 5 am so very little sleep. Then was refusing to give us receipt at check out. Gave me the receipt when I said they were going to get a bad review from me. Stay away

Santee is lovely - Quality Inn was terrible.

Santee is lovely - Quality Inn was terrible. From outside parking lot the building edifice is dirty/grungy and unwelcoming. NO signage to tell arrivals where office is. Office is dirty from outside, windows all smudged very unwelcoming. Desk clerk seemed offended when I told her I would not be staying due to the dirtiness of the buildings.

Santee is a stopping point for us when we are traveling. It has a great Pro shop and a really good Mexican Restaurant. I know that they have at least one golf course, but have never played it. Santee as a whole looks like a nice little town.
