Main street area is rundown, not just from Covid.
Main street area is rundown, not just from Covid. Made by Women shop window was very uninviting. The wineries were very nice. The couple of restaurants on Main Street were lovely. Not much shopping. The Museums (Women's Rights, It's a Wonderful Life) were great.

I mainly stay here because Sampson State Park has removed...
I mainly stay here because Sampson State Park has removed their affordable cabins and I can no longer afford to camp there. But every cloud has a silver lining...I discovered that Seneca Falls is a wonderful place to visit! I am here every winter for the It's a Wonderful Run 5k, and I visit several times during the summer. Montezuma Wildlife Refuge is nearby, as well as Seneca White Deer. Wineries and of course Watkins Glen at the end of the lake. I love cycling and there are SO MANY safe and fascinating places to bike nearby!

I love history.
I love history. The new Woman's Hall of Fame just opened and was not very impressive. This was the only place we paid to get in. Hopefully the money will be used to make it better. It's good they are restoring building it is in and that itself will cost a lot. The Woman's National Park was very impressive. Some other locations were closed due to COVID, so check ahead. The town is quant with some beautiful nature.

This is absolutely a very gorgeous little town with plenty to do for young and old. The scenery made the travels very nice to enjoy.. The falls are just breath taking and a very quiet area for a peaceful and enjoyable day! We stayed at The Gould and all we can say is just WOW! From checking in to the gorgeous and very comfortable room(and the beds were the most comfortable hotel beds) and the rain shower was AMAZING!

The west side of the lake is much better than the east side.
The west side of the lake is much better than the east side. Not much to do or see on the east side. Lots of places to eat but did not care for the ones we stopped at, like Little Italy and Barkleys.

Seneca Falls is steeped in history.
Seneca Falls is steeped in history. Its worth visiting the Women's Suffrage museum. Take a stroll to see where "Its a wonderful life was filmed" and go back in time. Downtown is great. Have a drink and relax or go by the canal and just sit and take in the nature.
