We frequently drive to and from NY to visit our son and his...

We frequently drive to and from NY to visit our son and his family from SC. We no longer drive straight through. On return from NY to SC, we stop in Smithfield after having driven 8-9 hours. It’s right off of 95S and a convenient place to stop for the night. There is an huge variety of restaurants and so many great hotels to get a good night sleep before heading out after breakfast to finish the last leg of travel home. We have highly recommended this to many of our NY friends who come to visit us. It’s a great stop to rest. And you can’t beat all the shops and restaurants.

The area of Smithfield we visited had an abundance of restaurants, a good size retail outlet mall with name brand shops, a very large Christmas store (Dwayne's Christmas Land). The roads were easy to travel. The people were friendly. We didn't travel around much, as we were visiting family over the Thanksgiving holiday; however, the little traveling we did do was very enjoyable.

Smithfield is halfway between my family and myself.

Smithfield is halfway between my family and myself. We often meet to spend the night and exchange children for a stay with me in Florida. Smithfield has many restaurants to choose from, a nice outlet center and movie theater. There are several accommodations to choose from

The room was clean, quiet with adequate towels.

The room was clean, quiet with adequate towels. Tea & coffee were available the whole stay. Warm cookies on arrival were welcoming. Breakfast was nice and the cleanliness of dinning area was great. A short walk to good restaurants, San Marcos was our dinner choice & that was wonderful. We will be back.

I enjoyed staying in the same room the duration of my trip.

I enjoyed staying in the same room the duration of my trip. The rooms were very clean and no smells. Parking was convenient and I felt safe. Breakfast was good would have preferred bacon and or sausage for meat. The staff was very courteous, friendly and professional.

We called and emailed this hotel a little after 2 the day of...

We called and emailed this hotel a little after 2 the day of to cancel our reservation, due to traffic issues and didn't feel we could make it that far for safety reasons. Yet this hotel ignored our cancelation over minutes and cared not one bit about our safety charging us anyway. We reported this to Booking.com also but have heard nothing. We stayed at a wonderful property 100 miles before this hotel. No more Super 8s or Booking.com for us

The nice lady on booking in let us in early & upgraded our room which was nice. Everything was fine in the room & the hotel. Breakfast was good evry morning & evryone seemed happy that we spoke to. We always speak to All the staff including the cleaners & kitchen staff. We had a laugh with all the staff which was nice. We even met the staff security K9 who could lick you to death.
