Getting around was very easy in Smyrna. Malls, restaraunts, downtown Atlanta, Six Flags and more were within about 15-20 minute drive. The town itself seemed well worn and a little more on the urban side than I would have liked. It was not suburbia but certainly not the "ghetto"...
Just stopped because near Atlanta but the Hotel was sketchy and when we wondered over to the McDonald's, it had a C rating so we went across to another restaurant which also had low rating. Seemed like the area we were in was in undesirable area. Cannot fairly rate area since we were only interstate travelers
the people werent very friendly. the traffic was terrible due to a lot of construction on roads. if you get lost, be careful asking for help. people were not very helpful and acting a little upset because you asked them. the publix was a very awesome store that held fresh fruits and vegetables. they were very friendly and helpful to us.
The area is close to many prime visiting sites, However the staff was very unprofessional, rude and some mean towards staff. during breakfast staff overheard making remarks regarding the amount of food some guest were consuming.
Our stay in Smyrna was only overnight, did not have time to travel and see the town...we ate at IHOP, nice people, food okay...cannot give fair review because there was not enough time... only saw inside of hotel...all people we met on our short stay were lovely, staff very helpful...especially Tangela...
Smyrna is a great area. I've lived in the area before. Cumberland mall is a great location near by for shopping. Nail salon at bottom of by T-mobile nail tech Mary and Pheng was amazing and very professional. And there are great restaurants near there too.
