I loved this place!! The view is just amazing, the neighborhood is calm, you'll have anything you need near the place (convinience store, pharmacy, Chinese restaurant, dunkin donuts, food market open 24/7). Literally a small bit of paradise. The owner welcomed me warmly and was very helpful. He's so kind and always make sure I was having a nice stay. The place is clean, cosy and warm. I strongly recommend it !! Thank you so much, I had such an amazing time at that place!
Staten Island
Fort Pl B&B has garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Staten Island, 8 miles from Staten Island Mall Shopping Center. Paul is a great host, very friendly. The house is beautifully decorated, the bedroom and the bathroom are very spacious. I loved the old bathtub, faucets and shower. Wifi was good at all times. Very convenient location less than 10 min walk to the (free and fantastic) ferry to Manhattan. The ferry runs every half an hour, all day and all night. I took it after midnight, not a problem. There's an outlet mall next to the ferry terminal.

I live in Staten Island & it is the nicest borough I have lived in. It’s many parks & and trees is what interest me in Staten Island. The free ferry option is a plus. In my opinion it is a clean & safe borough overall.
We loved everything! We used uber to get around and the exceeded expectations with the pick up time. We are from Chicago and we usually have to wait 10 mins or more for a pickup. Here on Staten Island it was an average of 4 mins. We absolutely loved the Ferry ride.
Glad that we decided to stay at Staten Island, great movie theaters, places to eat, friendly people. It's a great option to avoid paying the exorbitant rates between Tuesday and Saturday to stay in New York City. And the ferry is free to go back to the city. Busses available, easy connections, I believe the busses run all night as well.
South beach was lovely with free ample parking. The boardwalk & pier were lovely for a long walk. Unless you were in a upmarket neighbourhood the whole island seemed a bit run down & dirty in places. This is due in fairness to the people who live in the area. Some people took great care of the outside of their house, others just dumped things outside. Access on & off the island was easy via bridges & the free ferry to Manhattan. The MTA metro bus ran smoothly & was clean.
Staff should be accommodating, prompt service when u ask something like towels on the bathroom..microwave should include from the room, should inform at the net that they are under construction so we could have chosen another hotel..
I went to a concert at St George theater which was amazing and the theater was beautiful! I also ferried over to Manhattan for half the day on St Patrick’s Day which was an adventure in itself. I wish I had more time. Nothing negative to say other than I wish I spent more time exploring Staten Island but I did get to see the Statue of Liberty and I don’t live too far so I can always visit again soon!
Staten Island
We absolutely love the location of this bed and breakfast, it faces the ocean and we saw the most beautiful sunrise over the Verrazano Bridge. Special shout-out to the owner, Naushad aka Mo, who is so kind and was generous enough to drive us to the Staten Island ferry. Thank you for giving us directions, tips, and for making our trip so happy and memorable, sir! I will be back soon.
Do to Covid19, things are not normal, so breakfast was a cold to-go bag(two fruit, small box of cereal and a chewy granola bar). I was told the hotel restaurant will open in October hopefully. There is only maid service when asked for something, due to Covid19.
The breakfast was skipped due to a very high price to have it. Most hotels offer a complementary breakfast. I do believe the Hilton should offer this service.
It was one of the only available hotels on Staten Island. Booking it through booking.com was relatively easy. The cancellation/refund policy was fair.
The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was made available early for participants in the Bike Tour, many of whom were staying at the hotel.
Staten Island
It’s an older Victorian style home that is clean. Owner is very nice. Awesome location for the St Georges Theater and the Staten Island ferry.
the vibe from previous questions is stupid, since the hotel is facing a garbage dump, and the air stinks like shit.
Available room - many other hotels on SI closed due to COVID 19.
