Stay apt Suffolk is in the perfect location, quiet, safe but within easy reach of restaurants and shopping. The grounds are immaculate, lots of parking spaces and friendly, helpful reception staff. But the best thing about our stay was our room; spotlessly clean with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Cooker, fridge, even a dishwasher! Our bed was very comfortable, everything was new and it showed attention to detail.

Most of the areas we visited were well maintained, clean, and attractive. Some run down areas. Crime rate is definitely a concern. Lots of fast food but less good restaurant choices for a quality meal. Harper’s Table was a nice dinner experience. Shopping options are minimal. Not a lot to see or do. People, mostly, seemed friendly. The downtown area is well maintained and could be something really special if the crime rate wasn’t so high and there were more options open and available. We would definitely return for a visit if so. I think Suffolk is missing out on a lot more visitors. So much potential for a quaint, nostalgic, and thriving small town experience.

Across from the Visitor Center and nearby to many fast food restaurants and two grocery stores. Restaurant meal was good, nearby Japanese restaurant also good. Went to see Dismal Swamp, about a half hour. Worth the trip to me.

Typical standard. Interion not very fresh, but everything was working, no issues. Breakfast very simple, way below European standard (but again - typical for such type of hotel). Location was convenient, but has to be assessed individually. No issue with parking spaces. Not much noise from roads around. Working air-condition, however very noisy. USB sockets available to charge mobile devices.
