HungaryI do not have words to express how great everything was during our stay. Don our host was super kind, had great talks with him, provided very valuable advices relating to what to do, where to have meals, which was very great help for us. We appreciated his help greatly. The apartment has way more that one needs. Rooms, beds were comfortable, the apartment was very nicely decorated, and what was way over our expectations is the complimentary supplies. We used the BBQ, grilled marshmallows, and enjoyed the view and piece that the location provided. This was one of the best accommodations we ever stayed at, although we are travelling quite frequently. I can only recommend, it is a perfect place to visit Blue Ridge Parkway and the Great Smoky Mountains.

I was there for a high school reunion, having grown up in...
I was there for a high school reunion, having grown up in the area. Sylva has evolved from a smelly little mill town 60 years ago to an amazing destination with gourmet restaurants and craft breweries. Plenty of mountain biking and hiking in the area, easy access to the Blue Ridge Parkway. An absolute jewel of a place!

This was the first time I spent some quality time in downtown Sylva and we really enjoyed it. Lulu's on Main has amazing food, Jenna at the wine bar was awesome, the breweries were good and we enjoyed the variety of the shops. We also enjoyed the Jackson County River Walk, I kayaked on nearby Bear Lake and we hiked off the Blue Ridge Parkway. All in all its a great spot that we will come back to again.

Great small town with a fun, historic Main Street Downtown.
Great small town with a fun, historic Main Street Downtown. We enjoyed looking through the antique shops, music store and Berlin Wall Museum. Got several recommendations to check out the City Lights Bookstore with Cedric the cat. We ran out of time, but will stop in next time. Great little Eateries here too! Check out the Lazy Hiker Brewing company and Mad Batter restaurant!

Sylva is a small scenic town in southwestern North Carolina.
Sylva is a small scenic town in southwestern North Carolina. You can walk the sidewalks and visit the shops without having to drive. There are a couple of places that make their own beer if you're into that. A lot of places are closed on Monday, so keep that in mind.

Sylva is a beautiful town nestled in a valley, the folks are friendly and welcoming, and the mountains all around are stunning. We were there during peak leaf season and just loved it. There are restaurants and shops and exhibits in the downtown area that make exploring and dining there fun. The old courthouse-turned-library is a must see, and you have to visit Baxley's if you like chocolate. We drove up to Pinnacle Park and walked a little way up the trail (it needs hiking shoes, which we didn't have) and were able to see pretty cascading streams and a lot of beautiful leaves. The City Lights Cafe (we got the Crepedilla and the Spinach chicken wrap) and the Balsam Falls Brewing Company (we got the Veggiepalooza wrap with shredded chicken) were so tasty and friendly that we went to both of them twice. The Blue Ridge Inn was situated perfectly for convenient parking and walking throughout the town. The town is very walk friendly, with crossing lights everywhere, and motorists who were polite and careful. We also visited the nearby Museum of the Housecat, and just loved that too. Sylva is a great central spot for exploring the area.

We enjoyed our stay at the Florio. The host was extremely responsive and got back to us quickly with any questions we had prior to our stay. The tiny house was easy to find, reasonably priced, and provided us a restful night on our way to the Smoky Mountain National Park.
The kitchen was nicely stocked so I was able to prepare a meal when we arrived and enjoy our morning coffee. During our road trip, our stay here was the best nights sleep we got. So much nicer than any of the hotels we stayed at.

It was a great getaway to visit our Granddaughter at WNC! Everything we needed was available for our stay! It was great to be able to take my older Yorkie so I didn’t have to worry because she is in bad health! The hot tub was a great addition to ending each night! The beds were all comfy and cozy for a good night’s rest after a long day of site seeing in nearby Dillsboro and Sylva!

Impeccably clean room! Booking was easy. Communications with the hotel was great. Right on the main street of Sylva so very walkable. There was some road noise but it quieted down by bedtime. Room had mini fridge. Plenty of hot water in the shower although water pressure was a bit lower so it took a little longer to rinse. Overall great stay in Sylva.

We did not stay after looking at the room this was not what you could expect. The room that was offered (we did not stay) had a window over the door to the hallway that was open and could not close.. This hotel needs realy som work before it can be up to standard.
