We LOVE Fontana Village! The pool is a huge hit as well as mini golf. The restaurants and general store provide all you need for a few days. A great place for a getaway weekend with young kids. This was our second time visiting in 3 years and the improvements they have made recently are great. Continues to be an incredible mountain gem that we hope to continue to visit yearly.

What great property. At the end of the Tail of the Dragon.

What great property. At the end of the Tail of the Dragon. Covered parking available. Food was terrific and reasonable prices. We loved sitting outside by the river. Hiking trails. And best of all, the staff who were friendly and helpful. We were there for the first time last year and went out of our way this year to return.

Tapoco was one of the best places my wife and I have ever...

Tapoco was one of the best places my wife and I have ever stayed. It was a perfect setting. Nestled by a mountain stream in western NC. The facility was incredible and the restaurant was so relaxing. The food was delicious and sitting out by the river with the water raging over the rocks was the perfect ambiance.I would highly recommend staying there if you’re ever traveling anywhere close to the mountains in NC. We loved the place!!!

Sadly I visited this beautiful property in pouring rain from Hurricane Ida. I was soaked moving my items in and out of my cabin! The restaurant and gift shop in the lodge were ideal and my room was comfortable. Other than a surprising blast of cold water during my warm shower, my stay was great. I hope to return.

The staff was great.

The staff was great. The area is awesome and the cabins are nice as well. The cabin we stayed out could definitely be renovated it was just out dated but still very clean and decent. The breakfast was very good.
