We stayed in a villa with a hot tub. It was a lovely spacious apartment in a great location. We loved the hot tub and the balcony. It was very close to Cades Coves and the GSMNP. The onsite Dancing Bear restaurant was exceptional! All of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Lovely place to stay even though it was busy with the Chevy Truck Show being on. Everything was perfect with this place. Even though we didn't use room maids services they asked if needed anything everytime we saw them.

The location instructions for the drive to the cabin were perfect. It was easy to find. We arrived and were delighted with the beautifully decorated cabin, 2 decks, a hot tub and pool table and views. The furnishings were so soft, lovely cushions, warm throws and curtians. We had the best nights sleep on our trip. So much so, we booked another night. We were so comfortable and relaxed. The kitchen had absolutly everything including a cocktail making set! I loved the hot tub towels and the chairs on the deck and listening to the wildlife in the trees and the mountain changing colours at different times of day.

My stay was good overall. Check-in was slightly delayed due to cleaning, and there were no toiletries or basic essentials provided. The WiFi was decent, and the river view was nice. The place was generally clean, easy to find, and check-in was simple.

It was nice and quiet the railroad museum was a nice little place with good exhibits for railroad enthusiasts and other shops where good Apple Valley Cafe was great place to eat with friendly staff and the General Store had lots of things to see. Overall a very nice place close to other Smoky Mtn attractions.

Townsend is known as the peaceful side of the Smokies.

Townsend is known as the peaceful side of the Smokies. It doesn’t have all the traffic and commercial stuff like Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. If you just want to enjoy the scenery and animals stay in Townsend. Make sure you drive through Cades Cove.

We came to Townsend this last visit to attend the Heritage Centers Christmas Event. This makes our third year attending the event. While visitingTownsend we had a special dinner one night at the Dancing Bear Lodge, and at a meal at Pleasant Side Brewery. We went over to Pigeon Forge for a little Christmas Shopping day 2 and spent another day in the park. Townsend is a convenient place to stay to all activities we are interested in without the annoying traffic in Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg which we typically avoid.

Quiet and little traffic. Good travel time to any nearby popular destination. Loved the Artistic Bean and Towns End Coffee places! The Townsend Pancake House is a must! Also enjoyed the antique stores.

The room was fine with handicap access. smoky mountains was great and we also visited Cades Cove in park. Cades Cove was very crowded after Thanksgiving. Knoxville zoo was in our list to visit since not far. Toured Park and Gatlinburg. Visited family during stay. The site for these activities was very good.

Townsend is the perfect place to stay since it's close to Cade's Cove and Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg but offers a place to come back to away from the crowds. It has wonderful little restaurants as well.

Staff was accommodating and knowledgeable. Super clean room. Allowed me to park my car on property after I checked out in order to "sightsee" with my family who drove separately. Pillows/beds were as comfortable as any expensive hotel! Awesome internet speed. Extremely peaceful location.

View was amazing, hot tub worked fine. New floors are a nice touch. Townsend was amazing and you don’t feel over crowded. Family of deer walked through under the balcony every morning. Definitely worth doing again.
