I have always had good experiences at La Quinta hotels. That and Best Western. However, with this being a fairly new hotel I was not impressed. The beds were hard, the pillows even harder and the Traffic...OMG the traffic noise. The hotel sits so close to I-5 the noise was horrible all night long. I had a room for two people and they did not supply any shampoo, conditioner, or enough soap. It was a good thing I brought my own. The coffee pot sat on the bathroom counter. So, unsanitary. We had to ask for more towels as well. We did not stay for breakfast for fear of how it would taste. With everything else being so cheap, and after looking at the eggs and seeing they were probably powdered eggs, we decided to get a good breakfast at I-hop.
The pool was continually filled with children, which is fine but sometimes adults just want to have some quiet time in the hot tub. There was not adult pool times set aside for later in the evening. After traveling for 12 hours, we wold have enjoyed relaxing in the Jacuzzi.
