Location: Convenient access to the freeway, Route 66, and nearby fast food restaurants.
Bed Comfort: Comfortable for some, but others find mattresses too hard, soft, or squeaky.

We had a great stay at Ramada by Wyndham Barstow. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a convenient location close to several amazing local attractions and sightseeing spots. One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast every morning — there was a good variety of food, and everything was fresh and enjoyable. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit, which made the experience even better. Overall, it was a great place to stay for both comfort and convenience, and we would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is located right off the freeway, making it convenient, especially for night time stops. The rooms are slightly overpriced, but that's the cost for the convenient location, particularly without many other hotels in the immediate area. The main perk is that laundry was free!

I was on a long road trip around the western states, and stayed in Yermo for 1.5 days along the way specifically to go to Peggy Sue's Diner. I went there last year and loved the place and wanted to go again. It really is a delightful place! If you're over 45, you'll especially love it. (Not to be confused with Penny's Diner down the road, which is doing the dirty trick of trying to cash in on Peggy Sue's name and clientele).
I recommend checking out the Liberty Sculpture Park. The sculptures are an intense and haunting tribute to Chinese Communist political prisoners and murder victims.
Calico Ghost Town was good and I recommend it, but every building was selling something, so it was very commercial.
Eddie World was a cornucopia of sweets! Unfortunately, the ice cream counter wasn't open, even though the store was, which was disappointing, because it was my birthday and I wanted ice cream.
The Thrift and More shop in town is a charming and delightful place with a lot of great stuff! Allow enough time to peruse and shop.

Not fancy... really just a truck stop area... but safe.
Not fancy... really just a truck stop area... but safe. Far enough from the filth and crime of Barstow, that you can actually sleep at night without worrying about being robbed or having your car stolen while you sleep (like it would be in Barstow 8 miles away). Perfect for a visit to the Ghost Town of Calico right up the road. Thanks Yermo !!
