We only booked 4 days but this wasn’t enough time as there is so much to see and you want to spend time relaxing by the beautiful beachfront hotels. Oh and the shopping was amazing. I purchased luxury high end fake bags, shoes, hat and CD necklace - quality leather and hand stitched. Hoi An also is famous for tailor made outfits which we didn’t realise and didn’t have time to have some outfits made. Another reason why you need more time in Hoi AnAAnonymous - Scored 1010

Strongly suggest visiting in low season . Packed with tourists in peak season but helps with the vibe . Warm friendly people and a gastronomical delight . Great coffee culture and everything is reasonably priced . Easy to exchange USD and other currencies . Lots of small shops with standard groceries . Every nook and corner has a cafe , street vendor , restaurant, snack shop . Renting bicycles or scooters is cheap and easy . Grab taxi / bike can take you around cheaply as well . Lanterns and lights everywhere . Quaint town and must do in Vietnam.

Hoi An is amazingly popular with tourists from Europe and Asia, with a strong contingent coming from China and South Korea. The UNESCO protected part of the old city is very impressive but Hoi An is on the edge of being loved to death. Numbers should be limited!MarkAustralia - Scored 1010
It's a beautiful town with a lot to offer visitors.
It's a beautiful town with a lot to offer visitors. We found a variety of restaurants and enjoyed a three-hour hired bike ride. We also took a short boat trip for a leisurely sightseeing trip. I spent a few hours learning how the local speciality, hand-made silk lanterns, is made. My Son, a UNESCO-listed heritage site, and the Ba Na Hills were just over one hour's taxi ride away.

4 days in Hoi An was great.
4 days in Hoi An was great. Spent a day at An Bang beach, did a day cooking tour, and enjoyed the culinarily delights of the Old Town. Had a boat road in the evening with the lanterns and explored the surrounds on a bicycle. Did get some tailoring done - but it does take up a bit of time as you require fittings and adjustments - so multiple trips in.
