Lovely location especially if you love nature, mountains and greenery. I did a lot of hiking through the rice terraces which was the best part of my trip. Enjoyed my time at Sunworld Fansipan. Food is a bit expensive but resonable for the area. It’s a very hilly area so you can get tired walking, and can opt for taxi but can be expensive. Recommend doing a home stay (can book through booking.com or Airbnb - find Sue‘s homestay) and experience local hospitalityAndrea - Scored 1010

i liked the town , not hot like in Hanoi , nice to walk and many opportunities to tray local north food . there are many nice restaurants , The tourist attractions are just tourist attractions but the cable car even if it is expensive it is very interesting just to see where they built it , the view is impressive . i also liked to talk with some women from the mountains ethnic groups , just to learn something about their life . Lovely and cute town, nice weather. Didn't rain much when we were around Sa Pa. Easy to get around with lot of transport options. Nice people and good vibe of the town. We would definitely avoid the day journey transfers from Hanoi to Sa Pa and vice versa. Overnight journeys would be productive I feel.

Booking the villages trek, transport, etc was fuss-free and easy. When I left the staff also prepared some snacks and drinks for the bus ride. Sapa is touristy but this hotel made my experience so much better. Will definitely stay here if I come back to Sapa again.
