Featuring a restaurant and a bar, The River Wellness & Spa at Zwakala River Retreat is located in Haenertsburg, 3.1 miles from Long Tom Monument and 18 miles from Wolkberge Caves Nature Reserve. Breathtaking and the people are so welcoming. The previous comment made me nervous to go and I thought I had made a mistake but not in the slightest. It is AMAZING, BEST HOLIDAY EVER!! Please go to reconnect with everything including yourself, I loved it there and we will forever remember this holiday.

Located in Haenertsburg in the Limpopo region and Long Tom Monument reachable within 1.7 miles, Silver Mist Resort has accommodations with free WiFi, BBQ facilities, a garden and free private parking.... The expectations judging from the Booking Com Internet page were not accurate, the place is much more beautiful and much better than advertised. It offers different sizes of wonderfully placed chalets, along several small dams, with fishing possibility (baas, catch and release) riding facilities and large horse stables. Horses everywhere... all very nice and silence in beautiful slightly morbid charming gardens (winter time and frost at night). There are also camping facilities and fixed tents at the dams available, really nice, but we had a large chalet with 2 sleeping and 2 bathrooms, fireplace and internet working well. The Resort is in beautiful forest and mountains, at ca. 1400 m above sea level. Highest peaks in the vicinity exceed 2000 metres. Haenertsburg village is 10 minutes away and offers few cafes, a pub and restaurants and some antiques shops, nothing special but all very nice. Some hiking trails are there as well and the Wegraakbosch Organic Farm offers excellent Cheeses, etc... Forget the Gouda and Cheddar from your supermarket!

Located in the village of Haenertsburg in the Limpopo Region, Art Gallery Guest House features French-style country decor. The Phalaborwa Gate to Kruger National Park is 94 mi away. The honeymoon suite was exquisite. We looked at the other rooms too... just a gentle tasteful touch to every detail. It was such a nice experience. To sum it up... we felt utterly spoilt!

Located in Haenertsburg in the Limpopo region, with Long Tom Monument and Louis Changuion Hiking Trail nearby, Lakeview Cottages has accommodations with free WiFi and free private parking. It's a little piece of paradise. We felt so welcomed and well looked after by the owner and Charl. We love everything they did at the cottage and the beautiful garden. All the details are being taken care of. It's a pity we only stayed for one night this time but we will surely return to enjoy the garden and play with the dogs.

Viewpoint - Cabin 6 is located in Haenertsburg, a 13-minute walk from Long Tom Monument and 7 miles from Ebenezer Dam, in an area where hiking can be enjoyed. This is definitely one of the best stays we ever had. The viewpoint team went over and above to assist us in our anniversary breakaway. From the complimentary wine and chocolates to the arranged picnic. Evenings are cozily spent in front of the fireplace. Kitchen had everything needed. The road to the accommodation is very accessible. Easy to find location. Lots of advice and communication from Moya and Geo. Check in went very smooth. Perfect place for a good braai with a lovely view. We couldn't ask for a beter kick start to a new year.

Viewpoint - Cabin 2 is located in Haenertsburg, a 13-minute walk from Long Tom Monument and 7 miles from Ebenezer Dam, in an area where hiking can be enjoyed. Moya had been very welcoming. Cant really think of anything that could have made the stay better than it was. We loved it! Well worth the money.
it is a beautiful part of South Africa, but I would strongly suggested that you travel in a vehicle with a reasonable road clearance due to the dirt roads which you use. Some places are not operational anymore and the others which are, charge an entrance fee. A must visit is Zikwala brewery.
What a picture perfect little village! The most gorgeous hiking trails and perfectly safe for people traveling alone. The restaurants serve the most delicious food and the service was excellent in each one I visited (6 in total). People are friendly and very helpful.
Great for hiking, mountain biking in the forests, swimming in the Ebernezer dam and rowing. For those who like fishing, or trout fishing and sight seeing, you wont be dissapointed. The village people are friendly, The scenery is breathtaking.
It is a very small little town in a beautiful setting, but there are about 5 restaurants. It is easy enough to walk round the whole town. There are a lot of activities to do outside (but fairly close by) the town. This is our 2nd time, and we will definately do a 3rd - especially August/September when the Azaela's are in bloom.
Nice restaurants with friendly service. The food was good. The trout at Red Plate was very tasty. The Pancake place was good, though busy at weekends, we didn’t get the chance to get in, we returned on a weekday. The roads in the forests are in bad state, the rain make things worse. Definitely you need a 4x4 and this makes them not accessible to everybody. Maintenance of these roads is a must to attract tourists.
Great to cosy down and forget the rat race. Very central location. Food places in the area. There is a microwave, braai area and a fridge so bring what is needed to prepare a warm meal. That way you won’t need to leave to find food ;-)
Haenertsburg
I loved the nature surroundings. The dam, the trees and the quietness of the place. It's very calming as you hear nature sounds and birds and the sound of the waters in the dam. Also, the mist in the early mornings is great. Beautiful place to clear your mind and take a break from the busy urban areas. I stayed in the One bedroom Chalet. It's decent and appropriately sized. The town Haenertsburg is about 6 mins away by car and has a beautiful hiking trail which I loved!

We stayed in the cottage, which is a wonderful place that can host 4 - 5 guests (two double bedrooms + one bed in the living room, two bathrooms). The view is amazing and the place is quite remote and very quiet. It's just five minutes by car to Haenertsburg village. The kitchen is well equiped and the hosts are very friendly. We got a warm welcome and were immediately offered a bottle of wine to take "home" to the cottage.

Cabin 5 Was Beautiful And Clean. It Was More Than We Had Expected. Haenertsburg Is A Quiet, Peaceful Village And We Appreciated It's Nature. From The Amazing View Of The Village To Watching The Beautiful Mist In The Morning All The Way From The Balcony. The Stuff Was Very Generous, We Were Given A Complimentary Bottle Of Wine And Chocolates.

Wonderful location in the tiny village of Haenertzburg. Warm welcome from the manager Matthew and got some fantastic tips on where to eat and what to do around town. A very well marked 11km loop for those looking to do a scenic hike. Really don’t have to be super fit to tackle it.

The decor is exquisite, located with a beautiful viewpoint of Haenertsburg. They supplied ample firewood and it was cosy. Beautiful gardens, close to the good restaurants in the area. Photos don't do this place justice.
