This 4-star guest house with modern African décor features rooms with attached bathroom with a private patio. Very friendly hosts. Breakfast and breakfast packages for safaris were very good. The hosts were very helpful in organizing our stay (safari drives, ...). Very nice bar at the pool and good wine ;)
Tingala Lodge is located on the Silonque Game Reserve in Phalaborwa, adjacent to the Kruger National Park. It features a patio over looking a swimming pool and the Savannah. We cannot rate Bed in the Bush highly enough - evidenced in our multiple stays. The lodge is also ready to welcome guests with all COVID-19 protocols in place.
Set just 0.6 mi from Kruger National Park, this guest house offers on-site game drives and rooms with free Wi-Fi, TV and African-themed décor. Hans Merensky Golf course is 1.9 mi away. This is one of the best value for money places I have stayed at, and even though it tends to be priced for overseas guests (drinks prices are a little steep), Kaia Tani oozes professionalism and pride. When booking, be sure to book dinner - you won't get a better home-cooked meal anywhere else in the area.

There is an abundance of things to see and do in and around Phalaborwa, Kruger Park - Phalaborwa gate is right there. Lots of accommodation to choose from, both in town and surrounding game lodges. very affordable, a visit to the GHOLOVAN Pub and grill ( And Pantry) is a MUST - as well as the QUALITO's Distillery - you will not be disappointed.
General conditions in inadequate state of affairs. Drains were blocked and overflowing in the streets, to many potholes and litter all ovef town. State of affairscdoes not give and leave a good impression with a visitor. Unfortunately I did not take any photos
Used it as a base day before entering Kruger Park. Spar Phalaborwa was disappointing on the fresh fruit/veg/meat side. Hoped to buy all we needed before entering the Park, needed to 'top up' at available Kruger shops when required. Can't comment on the town itself.
i stayed in Phalaborwa for many years, so i know the town and i was only on a business trip to do some work. the town has deteriorated. some of the streets are in a bad condition. we had take-away meals.
Phalaborwa is a mining town and as such is not a holiday destination, The town itself has all the usual shops and fast food restaurants, It has a famous golf course bordering the Kruger park, Itis situated at the entrance to the Kruger Park, I found the staff at the Phalaborwa entrance gate friendly and helpful, We had wonderful game viewing in the park itself,
Phalaborwa is situated close to the Kruger National Park. It took 10 minutes to drive to the Park from the cottage. The town is of medium size and approximately 15 minutes from the cottage. There are 2 shopping centres there where you can buy what you need and several major banks. I was able to use my visa cards from the UK with no problem. There are several places you can go out to eat . I recommend you hire a car from the airport should you fly to Phalaborwa. If your visit here is to spend time in the Kruger park then a drive into the park to Letaba rest camp is a must . Letaba camp overlooks the river,a great place to enjoy lunch and watch the animals come to drink. I spent many happy hours here. A visit to the Elephant Hall at Letaba is another must.Game drives leave from both Letaba and Phalaborwa gate.
This was the most relaxing vacation I have had in a while. The house has everything you need, neat and clean. The pool was amazing, the kids loved it. All the animals right at our backyard was the best, we had two visits from the giraffe, some buck, ostriches it was just great. The Kruger phalaborwa gate did not disappoint ether. For the first time ever we spotted 3 lions, we have never spotted lions at kruger before. there where so many elephants, we renamed it "elephant park". The hosts were so gracious and accommidating.
We had a great time. Dave is the most helpful guest. The facility is suited to all of our needs. Comfortable and large rooms, beautiful open area and a nice swimming pool. It is also very close to Phalabrowa Kruger gate. The hotel serves a delicious home made freshly cooked breakfast, you will need that to start up your day. The host was there to assist us in everything we needed and always glad to do so. We strongly recommend this stay and, if we get the chance, we will be back there.
Very beautiful, high quality interior. Very special to have the Kruger boundary fence right next to house and property conveniently located close to Phalaborwa gate entrance to Kruger. House is very well equipped with anything you might need and more from high quality kitchen equipment and specialized utensils to a puzzle for a rainy day. Very good variety ‘honesty bar’ and friendly cleaning staff. Owner/manager is very attentive and responsive.
Super friendly hosts, with a lovely guest house that will make you want to stay forever. Beautiful rooms, a perfect barbecue and a swimming pool next to your terrace is just a few things to mention. We will definitely come here again when visiting Kruger and highly recommend this place to anyone on this planet. No matter if you‘re a couple, a family or just friends travelling Africa. Promise you won’t be disappointed!!!

It was very close to the Phalaborwa gate, near to nice restaurants and market.
I had a great stay at Royal Game. The place was super clean and comfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. It is also very close to all shops and the kruger, so a very convenient place to be staying. I will definitely stay there again.
the stay was really awesome loved the rooms and swimming pool. The safari and bush was really beautiful really a need to go place for people just wanting to rest in peace and quiet.
We cannot rate Bed in the Bush highly enough - evidenced in our multiple stays. The lodge is also ready to welcome guests with all COVID-19 protocols in place.
All was perfect apart from lack of wifi
