I would recommend the Monte Bar hike and highly recommend stopping at the Capanna Monte Bar restaurant on the way up. We enjoyed rolling out our yoga mats on the balcony. Valle Verzasca is also highly recommended for a hike along the most stunning river - best to go early though as parking spaces are limited.

There are countless windows and balconies with views of the alleys, courtyard and even the lake! Very dreamy and romantic stay. Fully equipped kitchen with plenty of cookware, towels and even shampoo etc provided. For 2 people the property is almost too big - it easily fits 4-6 people. The place was spotless and finding/accessing the property was easy. Owner was communicative and kind.

The state has a lovely peaceful environment for children with well-maintained garden areas around the flats and a beautiful view over the pool area and the lake and mountains in the background. Aircondition worked well for 2 floors, even at 32 degrees outside. The kitchen is new and well-equipped and it is a plus that the flat has a washing machine. Very friendly host :-)

It was pretty easy to get around by walking. Grocery stores and public transport were all doable by walking. It was in a very quiet peaceful setting.

Casa Lilia está a 9,1 km de Centro de Exposiciones de Lugano y a 10 km de Swissminiatur, y ofrece wifi gratis y terraza. We used it as a stop over for a road trip and it was a great spot off the 2. Quiet zone, easy to find.

Antica torre del castello Casa Ceresiana es un alojamiento con vistas al lago que está en Carabietta, a 7,5 km de Estación de Lugano y a 10 km de Centro de Exposiciones de Lugano. Very clean and cozy. Old building (it dates back to 13th century) with modern interior. It is in a quite and tranquil area. Parking is nearby. If you travel with car there are plenty of food choices within few kilometers (on the other side of the lake). The house is so close to the lake - you see it from the windows and when you open the front door, the view is beautiful. Unfortunately it was raining heavily when we arrived and when we were leaving so we could not enjoy a walk. The hosts were very polite, they were waiting for us and gave us a tour of the house, explained how to turn on the heating if needed and gave us an extra blanket. We got a bottle of wine as a gift and chocolate for the morning coffee. The only issue is that we stayed just for one night on our way home - I would spent more time there as the house and the area are really beautiful.
