Foi o sítio que mais gostei de estar de todos os que estive na Costa Rica, voltaria num piscar de olhos. Para terem noção, nem saíamos para jantar, ficávamos em casa a cozinhar ao ar livre, a ouvir música e a relaxar. PERFEITO!!

Antes uma fazenda de cacau, os proprietários construiram 6 vilas completas com duas camas, cozinha completa, ótimo banheiro (chuveiro maravilhoso) e varanda particular. Na propriedade além do jardim cuidadosamente criado e cuidado por Eric e seus funcionários, ainda tem uma piscina incrivel e um deck para sol e estrelas. Não bastasse isso, eles ainda completam a experiência com dicas valiosas da cidade de Puerto Viejo, um caminho privado para a Playa Negra, e um café da manhã tradicional preparado especialmente para cada hospedes e todos os dias algo diferente. Essa hospedagem é a melhor que eu já estive em toda a minha vida! Não hesite em reservar, não vai se arrepender!

Staff was amazing, truly wanted to make us comfortable. One of the big reasons we went with this hotel was the availability of the free bikes- which unfortunately kept breaking down. But they went out of their way to fix them for us. We also appreciate the do it-yourself laundry available, and the clean pool to cool off in, during the late afternoon when it’s really hot. The air conditioning worked really well and the location is great; as it is not in the middle of the downtown hustle and bustle. Very close to the national park - we biked there three times! Nice restaurant - Reggae’s - very close. Easy access to stretch of black sand beach that was not full of tourists. We spotted all kinds of tropical birds in the property and a sloth right across the street.

Tortuguero is a very unfortunate name for such a special place, but yes, it was named the place to kill turtles. It is a small place where everything is in a walking distance, once you arrive with the boat. The house is nice, with a garden and a cat. Space is fine, but with 4 people, it requires some logistics, specially to access the toilet. Kitchen is good and with all necessary tools. Internet is also fine. The hostess is nice and very helpful. We bought some tours with the associated partner and kudos to Fabian! What a nice guy!

Our stay was amazing and very unique! The place isn't for people looking for a luxury stay, but instead for those wanting to be in touch with nature and have durect access to the jungle. Nico is an excellent gardener who has made his plot of land into a permaculture food forest. The way he has designed the lodge makes it feel like a little treehouse with stunning views of the garden and jungle from the verander! Monkeys come by to eat their breakfast in the tree next to the property and you get woken up by the howler monkeys nearby and the many other sounds of nature. I also saw hummingbirds visit the lodge when I was having my breakfast. There is filtered rainwater provided to drink and Nico kindly gives you fruit from the garden if available. The bed is very comfortable and the shower is electric and there's a compost toilet. The whole place was built by Nico and designed to immerse you in the surroundings. Princess, the resident dog was friendly and slept alot! You need a car for activities as it's quite far out on a private road, or like we did, we just chilled in the place. Let Nico show you his edible garden, have walks through a private jungle, and see the monkeys and toucan and other birds. Lorenzo, the friendly neighbour took us for a walk and showed us Caiman in the creek nearby.
