He coordinated a ride from the airport, helped us get lunch upon arrival at his brother's restaurant (which was fantastic), got us tickets for the sound and light show, coordinated a tuktuk to get us around the entire stay, and organized a sunrise boat ride to Abu Simbel. He accompanied us to many of the places to ensure we got arrived and showed us where to go. Overall, Yaya made our trip to Abu Simbel memorable and easy. I would highly recommend his place and his hospitality.

Fahd helped us take all our luggage to apartment. He also served us the hot breakfast. Breakfast: highly recommended. Prepared by Fahd’s mother. Home made Amazing oriental breakfast in earthen pots. House: 4 big rooms with lots of beds. All beautifully designed. 2 bathrooms helped us get ready quickly in the morning.

Our arrival was seamless; Ahmed arranged our driver from the airport, we were met by his family at the public ferry and escorted to our house, which was basic but clean and comfortable. I can't say enough about how well Ahmed looked after us and helped to arrange activities. He even offered to help coordinate things in Luxor after we left Aswan. If you'd like to experience living in a traditional Nubian neighborhood, Nefertari House is the place to be! It's also conveniently located near the public ferry and the Aswan museum/archeological site.

The food was great. They operate like a bed and breakfast so the food was made to order and we were able to make customizations for allergies. The host was present and really helpful. The location is on the water with a view of the Nile and the Pillae Temple. The staff at the location was helpful and friendly. We walked around the neighborhood a bit and enjoyed being in Egypt. If you walk down the foot path back to the Pillae docks you are just a few minutes walk from that market. We were comfortable and safe.
