Yaya was an amazing host. He coordinated a ride from the airport, helped us get lunch upon arrival at his brother's restaurant (which was fantastic), got us tickets for the sound and light show, coordinated a tuktuk to get us around the entire stay, and organized a sunrise boat ride to Abu Simbel. He accompanied us to many of the places to ensure we got arrived and showed us where to go. Overall, Yaya made our trip to Abu Simbel memorable and easy. I would highly recommend his place and his hospitality.

Nubian studio, que cuenta con vistas al río, ofrece alojamiento con balcón a unos 23 km de Mausoleo de Aga Khan. Dispone de jardín, terraza, vistas a la montaña y wifi gratis en todo el alojamiento. La atención y amabilidad de Fawzy fueron increibles, desde el minuto 1. Me ayudó a negociar el precio del taxi desde el aeropuerto antes de llegar, me esperó en el puerto para llevarme al apartamento... La casa está frente al Nilo y en la zona menos turistica de la isla, lo que hace que sea un sitio super tranquilo y perfecto para desconectar del mundo, pero al mismo tiempo está cerca de todo, con restaurantes cerca, el ferry a Aswan a 5 minutos andando, una pequeña tienda de alimentación a menos de 10 minutos... Los vecinos también fueron super amigables y te preguntaban si necesitabas algo cuando te veían perdido. La excursión que ofrecen a Abu Simbel también genial y con un precio razonable. En conclusión: un 10/10.

Location: near to high dam. Nice view from the top of the house. Host: Mohamed and Fahd are amazing hosts. Dry friendly people. Always a smile of the face. We checked-in at 01:00 am. Fahd helped us take all our luggage to apartment. He also served us the hot breakfast. Breakfast: highly recommended. Prepared by Fahd’s mother. Home made Amazing oriental breakfast in earthen pots. House: 4 big rooms with lots of beds. All beautifully designed. 2 bathrooms helped us get ready quickly in the morning.

And the room is clean and quiet enough. Especially compared with the city hotels, you can enjoy a quiet morning. (if you live in hotels in the Aswan city centre, you will wake up by the broadcasting from the mosque every 5am)

Our arrival was seamless; Ahmed arranged our driver from the airport, we were met by his family at the public ferry and escorted to our house, which was basic but clean and comfortable. I can't say enough about how well Ahmed looked after us and helped to arrange activities. He even offered to help coordinate things in Luxor after we left Aswan. If you'd like to experience living in a traditional Nubian neighborhood, Nefertari House is the place to be! It's also conveniently located near the public ferry and the Aswan museum/archeological site.

Nubian Farm Aswan está a 22 km de Mausoleo de Aga Khan y ofrece alojamiento con restaurante, jardín, zona de playa privada y terraza. Hay wifi gratis. After a few hiccups the shuttle boat found me at the dock and ferried to the site, in the dark by moonlight. I was shown to my room which was quite acceptable but then told I'd been upgraded and found myself in a large appartment which could easily sleep 6. Outside was a table and chairs and plenty of space to relax. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The next morning I was asked where I would like breakfast, apparently you can have it in the room, outside at your own seating area or as I did at the outside tables at the front of the property looking out over the Nile. They say breakfast should be a main meal of the day and this certainly was filling me up until dinner and it was delicious, very pleasantly surprised. As the name says this is a farm and that includes dogs, cats, horse, donkey and crocodiles (yes you did read that right). It didn't take me long to totally relax in the beautiful setting and realise I wanted to extend my stay. That night we asked to have a Nubian dinner and weren't disappointed, they certainly know how to feed you. There is a sand hill that you can climb at the back of the property and watch the beautiful sunset. Trips: we went by motorboat to the Nubian village for a wander and shop, a very pretty decorated place. On return we realised it is possible to walk there and we did walk part way along the river to a beach area and swam in the very cold Nile. I expressed that I liked going along the river and it was suggested would I like to go sailing. The sail boat was laid out with comfortable cushions, bottles of water and a tray of tea/coffee and breadsticks was provided. Sailing for approx 2.5 hours viewing the river bank and relaxing so tranquil. The staff were so accommodating all you had to do was ask if you wanted anything or wanted to visit somewhere and they would arrange it to your schedule. All in all I was very surprised by this place and have come home totally relaxed by my stay. Highly recommend.
