The location, just across the road from the lagoon, was perfect. Being able to step out every morning to walk my dog was fantastic. Denis, our host, went out of his way to make our stay as pleasant as possible and was extremely helpful with advice and local information. Although the property itself is compact, it had everything we needed, and having a parking space right outside was very convenient. Last but not least, my dog felt so welcome and looked forward to her treat every day!

Location is fabulous. Initially we wanted to find a grocery store to have some food on hand in the house. But we didn’t have a car & it’s a hike to stores in the town . We found that We were able to just walk over to the castle for meals. It was nice to be able to go to the castle for a bit & then come ‘home’ to sit on the deck - lovely views over the valley. Did laundry & hung it outside in the sun to dry. Loved exploring the yard too. Owner was very responsive & directions on house access were clear & helpful. The only issue we had was getting a taxi to the train station. When we left- local taxi no-showed despite calling & making a reservation the night before. Fortunately we allowed an extra hour & were able to order an UBER who came immediately. So….use UBER! And if you arrive by train don’t expect taxis to be available at the station - local taxi unreliable- use UBER
