Offering a garden and garden view, Teresa's Cottage is set in Kilcolgan, 23 km from Eyre Square and 23 km from Galway Railway Station. Wish we could have met Bill in person as very responsive and friendly on the phone. We were sorry we missed his visit and appreciated his nice note. The cottage was fully equipped and it was great to find scones awaiting us and some other sundries on a prettily laid table for breakfast the next day. Nice layout for two couples traveling together, even with a single bathroom. We enjoyed the fire and comfortable living area and well equipped kitchen. Had a fabulous dinner at the recommended Moran's. The country setting (including nearby donkeys!), with walks out the door, suited us and was centrally located to all we came for (such as the Cliffs of Moher by sea, the Burrens, St. Kilmacduagh, Leamaneh Castle, Ballyvaughan, Maumturk Mtns, the 12 Bens, Galway, Kylemore Abbey, Roundstone, Clifden). In wild and wooly weather, it was very good to head "home" to cozy lodgings.

We were greeted by the owner Mike. There was a fire lit in the fireplace. Mike told us the wonderful history of this place and his family. I will recommend it to everyone. A wonderful place where you can feel the breath of history.

It was a very cold day and when we entered the house we were met by a warm cosy interior thanks to the hosts who had put the heaters on.

Set in Clifden in the Galway County region, Townhouse Clifden: Located in the heart of Connemara has a terrace. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are accessible at the holiday home free of charge. 3 tradesmen stayed in the 3 separate bedrooms with plenty of parking outside. House had everything we needed.
