Staying over night on Miyajima, offers a chance to feel the tranquility of this beautiful world heritage site. A stroll down the beach beside the grand Torii after waves of guests leaving the island brings completely different, and in my view certainly more charming, sense to the trip.

The house was beautiful, modern, spacious and comfortable for my family of five. It was in a quiet location but close to Okayama.

This traditional Japanese home was very comfortable. There are lots of airconditioning units so it was comfortable even when cold outside. The host was so very kind and generous. We were lucky to meet him in person. There is a coffee shop nearby that opens at 6am and many convenience stores as well as a supermarket in walking distance. We had a vehicle and the host arranged parking for us.
