The house is beautiful, very big and has everything needed for a short or a long and comfortable stay! Everything is very clean, facilities are convenient and well equipped. The owner is very kind and helpful, great communication and warm welcome! So far my best booking on this app and my favorite place to stay in Japan, I 100% recommend it!

This is an amazing property and we loved staying in a traditional Japanese townhouse, in a quiet part of town. I was travelling with my husband and 3 adult children in early April. The location is great for walking into Nara (10-15 mins). We arrived in the evening and it was lovely that our host had put the heating on for us and it was easy to retrieve the keys from the key safe. It was a bonus to find there are 2 toilets and 2 hand washing basins in the property. We all agreed that the shower is the most powerful shower we have ever come across - amazing. All the beds were large doubles and very comfortable. We stayed for 4 nights and our host had left lots of extra towels for us (far more than we chose to use). We liked that the bedrooms could also be heated in the evening, if needed. I used the washing machine and the instructions in English were helpful. There were lots of hanging rails to dry clothes on. The kitchen was well equipped and had more than we needed to reheat meals from the convenience store or to make snacks. For the rest of our stay in Japan we stayed in aparthotels in family suites. I was great to have so much room to spread out in for a few days. I highly recommend this property.

The Naramachi Villa Kamunabi is a traditional 'machiya' [townhouse] in a quiet neighborhood just south of the main commercial/tourist area in Nara. The villa has recently been remodelled with exceptional taste and functionality: every detail has been carefully thought out in a beautiful blend of tradition and modern convenience. There were 6 of us, and we had plenty of room. We loved the 2-story layout, with a large tatami room, a cozy living room, kitchen, toilet, and bath on the first floor, and a huge upstairs with two beds, a desk, and a large tatami area. We slept on 3 very comfortable futon on the first floor for those of us over 60 (!), with the younger family members upstairs. The kitchen was well-equipped (with an induction range, no less), and the bath exceptional. There were separate heating/cooling units in the three main areas, which allowed us to adjust temperatures as needed. A perfect place for a family vacation or a group of friends to stay.
