It's beautifully decorated, spacious but cosy, and truly a special place to stay. But what really made our visit unforgettable was how the owner and staff supported us during unexpected extreme weather conditions during Cyclone Ditwah that affected the whole island. Because of floodings and landslides, all roads leaving Nuwara Eliya were closed and we couldn’t leave town for several days. The situation felt surreal and completely unforeseen, but the staff took incredible care of us. They checked on us constantly, kept us updated, cooked us amazing food and did everything possible to make sure we felt safe and comfortable. Their kindness and dedication went beyond what you normally expect from a hotel. The rooms in the main house were also great, and it was one of the only places in town with a working internet connection, which allowed us to stay in touch with home and follow the situation. A special mention goes to the owner, who was extremely supportive. When the roads partially reopened, he personally checked the roads early in the morning and went into town to find locals willing to drive us down safely. To give us extra reassurance, he even drove ahead of our taxi himself. We can fully recommend The Edgware to anyone visiting Nuwara Eliya. Not only is it a beautiful place to stay, but the people make you feel genuinely cared for, even in the most challenging circumstances. Thank you again!

The host Jayantha who is always with a smile is all out to make your stay a comfortable and memorable one. The location is a bit away from mad rush of the Nuwara Eliya town. This makes the place quiet and relaxing. The view is so scenic that makes you completely unwind and relax. The approach road is a bit tough, but then this is a typical Nuwara Eliya road that leads you to the top of the hill and makes such a difference from other stays.

Magisk utsikt mot Bergen. Härligt med bastu och pool. God mat förutom frukostpåsen som hade en hel del att önska. Personalen var väldigt trevlig och service minded. Vi var dock där endast ca 12 Tim då det blev ett stopp innan vi åkte vidare med Ella tåget. Boendet ligger ca 15/20 min utanför stan dock.

Mount View Bungalow ligger i Hatton och erbjuder boende med utsikt över trädgården, gratis WiFi och gratis privat parkering, 41 km från Gregory Lake. The host was really nice and helpful! The facilities were clean and even better than expected. Situated close to the railway.

Perfect light concept and high class furniture. Operating since 2017, so all still looks very fresh and inviting in English country style design with modern touch. In short it was perfect. Lakshman and his team were so friendly and give high class service. Exceeded all expectations. 12 points out of 10. Dinner and breakfast were top. Opening the windows for fresh air in the morning - super, after the heat in the cultural triangle. For once you appreciate the heater instead of aircon. Tea plantations walk behind the house is unforgettable. Oliphant is a place you don’t want to leave. Two nights stay recommended. Very quiet location in a gardenstyle setting. 7 rooms.

Luxe Wilderness - Private Villas, Free Breakfast, 2km from City Centre har utsikt över bergen och erbjuder boende med en uteplats och kaffemaskin, 13 km från Hakgala Botanical Garden. Läget med bedårande vy och ändå gångavstånd till stan. Sköna sängar och rent och frun älskade badrummet med badkaret och dess utsikt. När ni är här i Little England så vill jag varmt rekommendera att passa på att unna er en afternoon tea på Grand Hotel.
