We felt truly welcome and well taken care of at Casa Franco da Serra. This family-run hotel has a warm, homely atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The owner and her son were incredibly kind and always willing to help with anything we needed. We were even invited to a small family gathering over the weekend, and everyone was so warm and friendly! It was such a lovely way to experience real Portuguese hospitality on our first visit to Portugal. The hotel is located a bit outside the town center, so having a car is convenient for getting around. That said, we managed perfectly well using the bus (there’s a stop right in front of the house) and returning by taxi without any issues. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Terceira who is looking for peace, nature, and a quiet retreat.

We've had a lovely time in the guesthouse, which was very spacious and equipped with everything we needed and way more. We've had some snacks, coffee, bread, fruits and milk waiting for us for a perfect breakfast! Anna has been so kind and showed us around the old house which used to be a winery and a pineapple plantation and which they have rennovated beautifully. The dogs were super friendly and cute. We have enjoyed our stay very much and wished we could stay longer.

The grounds are beautiful. Our hosts were so accommodating and responsive, always asking what we needed, and giving those thoughtful little touches that make your stay that much better. The fireplace was so nice in the evenings. Just a lovely place overall. We also liked that it was situated in the middle of the north coast of the island, so traveling to see things both east and west was easy.
