A gorgeous hotel with the warmest staff members (family run!) and best 'included' breakfast we've ever had! It also smells amazing thanks in part to their in-house bakery's fresh breads, cakes and cookie:) Our room was a beautiful, spacious loft for our family of 4 with skylights (see pic) where we could see the lovely church steeple next door. The technology in the room was excellent - remote control operating opening/closing of windows (which close automatically in the event of rain); the wifi password is detailed on the tv with capability to connect your personal Netflix account ((awesome for the kids!)). The mini fridge in the room was stocked & replenished daily with still & sparkling water, soda and a mini bottle of Prosecco. Fresh cookies from the hotel's in-house bakery were also left in a sweet little gift box for us:) At breakfast, the selection was beyond surprising -- multiple kinds of eggs, bacon, pancakes & French toast, cereals, fruit and wonderful fresh breads and cakes from their bakery. The heartiest and certainly most delicious hotel breakfast we've had anywhere in Europe (and we get around;) The location is perfect for visiting the Bormio Terme, restaurants, shops and other places further afoot like Livingo, Lago di Cancano, etc. The hotel also offers nearby parking in a secure garage. The attention to decor and technological details along with the wonderfully warm human element brought by the family who operates the hotel is simply unmatched! Paolo helped us plan daily excursions and, without asking, checked the weather forecast and status of the mountain passes for our drive home the morning of our departure. This experience is exactly what travel away from home should be like.
