The staff was exceptional! They go above and beyond with their customer service. I like that the hotel is easily accessible to the bus and train stations so that you can easily get to where you need to. They even have day bus passes for purchase at the front desk. I will definitely be back at SH when I return to Kyoto.

It's the best hotel I've ever been to in Japan. I spent a night here for my husband's birthday. They left a happy birthday greeting on the TV and a flower in the room! He was very happy to see that. I can't believe the rooms are available at such an affordable price! The view is absolutely stunning. The room was clean and comfortable. The decor of the hotel is so beautiful. The public bath is free to use and it was so good! The facilities are amazing. The laundry is free to use. It's a stone's throw away from the station. I'm in awe of this place and will continue to go here. I can't stress enough how great my stay was!

The value for money is incredible, ryokan-like (though mostly still hotel) experience in the heart of Asakusa was excellent. Staff was always ready to help and onsen was great.
