The rooms are clean and good. The kitchen is okay. The bathroom is bad need lots of work to be good. The main building has good and nice view, facing the sunset at the sea. And we stay there most of the time.

Providing sea views, Moheli Laka Lodge in Mohéli provides accommodation, a restaurant, a bar, a shared lounge, a garden and a private beach area. The location is not close to the airport or boat port, but it is set in amazing scenery in the Moheli Marine Park. True tranquility and beautiful nature. The staff was extremely friendly, the food was divine. The owner also assisted with a lot of useful information and helped with some issues we faced during our trip.

The highlight of this property is most certainly the high-level hospitality, kindness and support demonstrated by the talented and very capable manager, a young lady who has a penchant for helping people. I immediately felt comfortable and she accommodated my lack of French aptitude by speaking in English (which I appreciated). The guesthouse/hotel itself is reasonably well-maintained although there are obvious signs of ageing (which is the case for most properties in Comoros). The rooms are clean and generous in size. The first room I had, with a balcony and view of the beach below, had a tiny toilet-cum-shower room with little to no running water (which is also an issue across the country - there's not a lot the property can do about it). When I returned for one night, the next room (without a sea-facing room) had a much better bathroom. The restaurant is lovely and the quality of the food is very high - I ate very well here. The pet lemur is a nice touch. He entertained me and kept me company as a solo traveller. I would definitely stay here again.
