A well maintained property. The host, Jan, was very welcoming. We had the three bed suite on the top floor which was clean and spacious; our kids loved it! On the night of our arrival Jan prepared us a wonderful 3 course meal, contacting us in advance for any food allergies or dietary requirements. The setting is calm and quiet although it is on a road. The things that I would like to address with reference to other reviewers’ comments are: 1- Water quality is very good. The ‘unfiltered look’ is just air and a lot of it! Wait a minute and all bubbles burst and water is settled. 2- Although the Lodge is on a road, there is no noise at all at night. 3- This is a Lodge, not a hotel. When booking, bear that in mind!
