Astonishing views from the hotel at the delta sine saloom. The kitchen is very good. You can always ask your favourite dish if you dont like the proposed menu. Breakfast : everything you need is there, the "oefs a la coque avec les soldats, the freshly baked chocolate breads. Amy is a very sympathetic serene conciërge that gives all information about the hotel and his excursions. It is super, that she does not push you to book the excursions by the hotel. Their price is very high, so you can easily find some locals from the village to make an excursion at lower price, and so the inhabitants of the poor toubakouta also get a salary by selling their excursions. You get daily life djembe concert by the local group, while they exercise every morning and evening. You just walk out of the hotel entrance and immidiately you meet the local people of the village toubakouta. Finally, the stagiair Laure is lovely. She helps where she can. The staff is very friendly overall! The ponton is beautiful and you feel very peaceful there. Nice that you can just take the waterbike or cano to explore the delta, between the mangroves. The trip from Dakar takes 3 to 4 hours to les Palétuviers, but this feels like an extra excursion, passing by all villages, baobabs, free walking cows, goats and donkeys. Luckily we had this transfer for free as genius client at booking.com, otherwise this costs another 300€ going and back.
Really authentic stay between the hospitality of the village Toubakouta.
