This property offers access to a terrace, table tennis, free private parking and free WiFi. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. The host greeted us once we arrived and showed us the accommodation, and we could finally rest after the long drive. The place is nicely decorated, warm, and has everything you need, including coffee. The breakfast was amazing and served precisely at the time we agreed on :)

Hotel 1815 is a historical hotel looking out over the battlefield of Waterloo, located a 5-minute walk from the monumental Lion Mound. It offers free on-site private parking.

Hotel 1815 is situated in a peaceful, green area, only 150 metres from the tourist area of Waterloo. The newly renovated guest rooms offer a stylish decor and a soothing retreat for your stay. If you’re here for the battlefield, this is THE place to stay. What a thrill to look out of our room window (named after Ney ‘the bravest of the brave’) and see La Haye Sainte 250 yards to our front left and Wellington’s crossroads 50 yards to our left (the hotel is about where Ompteda’s KGL troops would have been on the day itself). Staff were very friendly and helpful. Take the breakfast option as it really set us up for a couple of days walking across the battlefield. The Maximus Restaurant on site is superb and clearly well regarded by the locals who formed the overwhelming majority of the clientele when we ate there.
