Huis Vandermersch ligger i hjärtat av historiska Ypres, 350 meter från In Flanders Fields Museum och 9 minuters promenad från den berömda Menin-porten. Everything was excellent. The owner gave clear instructions about the keys and the parking before arrival (there is a parking permit available for 2hr use for street parking outside the house), and also left a bottle of wine and some Belgian chocolates for us. The apartment was beautiful and bright, huge, peaceful and spotless. We loved falling asleep with the huge windows open onto the private garden and the fresh air. The bathroom is modern but still fits into the character property really well. The location is perfect as it's just a short walk to the main square and Menin Gate. I wish we could have stayed longer as we were very happy at the house.

Great location, easy for walking everywhere in the town of Ieper. Breakfast was exceptionally good and generous. Very comfortable bed, and our room was large, well appointed and clean.
