It was a quick walk to the train station. You do not need to take a taxi. We did on arrival because of the rain but once you exit the train station walk to your left and you will find the ramp to the escalators that take you up to the city centre. From there it is 5 minutes to walk a gentle incline to this charming hotel. Fabulous breakfast with stunning views from the dining room. Staff is friendly and helpful. Staying three nights we were given a pass for the gondolas and did that ever help with cost. So very thankful for it. It’s the small things like that which would keep me coming back. We even had dinner there one night and the food was very good.

This is a spacious hotel - our rooms were large, lots of space to unpack. Wonderful views of the valleys and mountains in Upper Engadine. The restaurant also very spacious. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel gives transportation passes after a 2-day stay. We went to Diavolezza, numerous times to Muotta Muragl. All the busses leave from the Post Office, a few minutes walk from the hotel. The hotel is on the main street, with all the restaurants within easy walking distance. Worth going to Diavolezza lift to look at all the 4000 m. peaks across the great glaciers. Pontresina is a quiet town, there were no package holiday tourists.
