Location, air conditioning, additional blue lights in bathrooms and rooms, pillows to choose as an option, view from windows on quiet city square, free minibar, friendly and helpful reception (I called and received Ticino tickets on mail), breakfast, free water at check-out.

Everything was perfectly designed and well thought out from the modern architecture and interiors to the small gardens and the excellent breakfast. Very comfortable and quiet, with great value for money. The croissants and bread were outstanding! Location is also a big plus: close to the city center, the lake and, above all, the train station. A perfect stay.

Piccolo Hotel enjoys a quiet location, an 8-minute walk from the Locarno Train Station and the centre of the city. Staff was super nice. Hotel had a quirky vibe we all loved, and it was very clean.

The family-run Continental Parkhotel is located 200 metres south of the main railway station of Lugano, where the funicular leaves regularly for the city centre. Beautiful hotel with a beautiful garden and an old history. Very good location with the fenicular so close by to downtown. The room was excellent with a beautiful lake view. The staff was execptionally friendly. Very good breakfast.

Situated on the lake promenade near the traffic-free centre of Lugano, Hotel Walter Au Lac offers you rooms with superb lake views. WiFi is free of charge. All air-conditioned rooms are renovated. The hotel location is wonderful we had a room with balcony the view was fantastic! Very clean room, bathroom needs a little updating, the breakfast was ok. Coffee available at reception was good!
