The architecture and ambience at Cuarzo Lodge are nature-inspired, creating an organic design which rescues local resources. We stayed in 7 different accommodations during our trip to Chile and this ranks one of the highest, the breakfast definitely the most original and best. Breakfast was either delivered to your room or enjoyed in the restaurant but it was very traditional with juice, huevos,,local breads, meats and cheese. It was a lot of food to be honest but you didn't need any lunch! Every other hotel did a rather bland array of breads, cheeses, yoghurts and coffee, this was a level above all of those. Each room seemed to have its own very private patio and nature could be enjoyed. The restaurant also did great food and the sunset views made it worthwhile in itself. The facilities were great and the WhatsApp for communication worked perfectly, even down to the video shared before arrival of how to navigate the turn into the lodge. Well done Cuarzo Lodge!

The lodge is located in front of Playa Hermosa beach and offers direct beach access. Del Mar is where you want to stay whilst in Pichelimu. The lodge is perfectly located between 'downtown Pichelimu' and the incredible Punta de Lobos viewpoint & surfers spectacle, both accessible via the beach, or with Taxi Collectivos operating up and down the main road. Small shops, restaurants & a supermarket within a 10' walk. Rooms offer top view of the gardens (beautifully cared for) beach & ocean, and are beautifully styled with equipped kitchen (I was staying in a suite, surely bungalows are even bigger & better). Whatever wasn't there I just asked Pablo & his staff who made it all happen. Copious in-room breakfast, WiFi impeccable. Great pool/sauna/hot tub area all free. Pablo recommended local activities and I got to visit a nearby mushroom nursery and kayak on a lagoon whilst birdwatching at moonrise. Bliss. But the real magic happened when I needed help with some private matters: Pablo was incredibly supportive, arranging local services with genuine, above-and-beyond hospitality. A memorable experience that left me with a deep appreciation for both the hotel and the country.

These cosy and fully-furnished bungalows are fitted with a sofa, a private bathroom, a fully-equipped kitchen and a balcony with a great garden and mountain view. Rooms are also available, and breakfast can be included. We stayed in the deluxe cabin, Rammed 2, which was fantastic (large, new, living room, kitchen, etc.). We added a night in a small room, which was fine, but much simpler. All beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was great, healthy, tasty, plenty. Staff was great, very friendly and attentive.

Our rooms are centuries-old wine barrels. It's only 3 kilometers to the main square of Santa Cruz. These rooms have air conditioning/heating, Wi-Fi, a safety box, cable TV, and buffet breakfast included. They are 32 square meters in size and offer views of the vineyard or the pool. The vineyards and flowers as well as the pool area were peaceful and relaxing.
