The best stay of our trip! Such a special place in the heart of the beautiful Matera. We were warmly welcomed after our taxi ride booked by the hotel. Anne explained us everything about Matera with great recommendations! She showed us to our beautiful room in an old matera house. The hotel has an amazing aesthetic that resonates well with the city. The breakfast is also very much appreciated with nice music.

We loved everything, we booked a Deluxe room for two nights on May 2026 and it was great, nice, charming and very spacious, great view to the city (by day or night the view was wonderful), the bathroom was big and nice, and the location is simply superb, no noises at all, and close to everything. Breakfast was buffet type and all the products we tried were delicious (with regional ingredients), 10 out of 10, The girls of the desk reception were really nice and gentle and also the ones on the breakfast time. The Hotel has a nice terrace with a beautiful view. They allowed us to do the check in a bit earlier and that was very appreciated too. We really recommend this Hotel and we would go back. BTW, there is a nice restaurant 50 steps from the Hotel named "La Bottegue", try the "bresaola", cause it is really good!, we visited this restuarant twice because it was really good.

This place is stunning! The room is in a cave and it’s huge !! The staff were amazing and it was the best breakfast we had in Italy!

First and foremost I liked the location and the view in front of our room, which is stunning both during the day with the church and the hill full of old houses and during the night when you see all the houses lit up on the hill. The room was also nice and spacious, nicely decorated and part of it was cave. The breakfast was good and generous, taken at the table in front of the room.
