Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). Very welcoming staff and overall nice atmosphere in a beautiful house. The dorm room was spacious. Inclusion of curry for dinner and simple breakfast are a great plus for the price. The location is perfect, close to the floating Tori gate. I didn't use any of the onsen but it's nice they provide this facility.

Oyado Tsukiusagi ofrece habitaciones en Miyajima, cerca de Pagoda de Cinco Pisos y de Santuario Itsukushima. Extremely convenient, literally just across the road from the ferry pier and not hard to find at all. Room was very clean and comfortable. Our host did not speak English, but was able to attend to all our needs without issue. Was definitely a memorable experience staying in a traditional Japanese room on Miyajima. Would highly recommend!

ITSUKUSHIMA IROHA is located in Miyajima’s Omotesando Avenue, a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shinto Shrine and Miyajima Pier. It's by far the best hotel experience we had in Japan, after being in 4-5 other cities. The lounge facing ocean with sunset view is amazing, and the rooftop bath in the night overlooking the bay and the Tori is intimate and relaxing, after the crowd is gone. The staff is extremely caring and offered personalized advice to visit and dine out. We were late for check-out because of some delay with the ropeway, but the staff really cared about our wellbeing. Cherry on top, beds in Japan are usually very hard but this hotel gave me the best sleep!

El Sakuraya, renovado en 2013, ofrece habitaciones asequibles de estilo japonés, con vistas a las montañas o al mar. La conexión Wi-Fi gratuita está disponible en las zonas comunes. Muy lindo hotel para vivenciar alojarse al estilo japonés, con habitaciones con piso de tatami y futones. Ofrecen unas batas muy cómodas, que las usamos como ropa de noche. El cuarto estaba impecable y el personal fue muy amable. Tomamos un desayuno adicional, sencillo, pero que estaba muy bien, y costó solo 500 yenes por pers. Consiste en una tostada, manteca, mermelada, huevo ( me llamó la atención que fuera frío) y una pequeña ensalada. Se acompaña con café o té, y trae un jugo de manzana .

El Miyajima Morinoyado, inaugurado en abril de 2014 tras reformas, ofrece habitaciones cómodas y un baño público amplio. Lovely hotel. Excellent breakfast, we did not opt for the dinner, so I cannot comment. I used the bath onsen twice and it was very clean and relaxing. We were able to use the shuttle to the hotel which was nice. We walked back to the ferry on the last day, which is an easy 25 minute stroll. I would recommend climbing Mt Misen, it was a great climb with some temples on the way, and we took the ropeway back down.
