Located on the coast of Xcalacoco Beach 10 minutes outside of Playa del Carmen, this luxury resort and spa situated in the tropical rainforest features a restaurant. Possibly one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. Staff were absolutely incredible, nothing was too much trouble, everyone was so friendly and accommodating - I haven’t experience anything like it before. The pool at the hotel was so perfect we didn’t leave it, service to your sun bed, sunglasses cleaned etc - the list goes on! Breakfast was à la carte and absolutely amazing, big selection of different dishes, pastries, fruit etc. Well equipped, clean, gym (no need for reservation) The resort is eco friendly so very little plastic used - all water provided free in re-usable bottles or glass bottles in the room. Free drip/filter coffee in room. The rooms are absolutely stunning, spacious, comfy bed, gorgeous outdoor shower and the private heated pool is also a highlight. Mosquito repellent and plug in provided for rooms. Daily newspaper delivered each morning. Amazing quality Bose Bluetooth speaker in the room. They will organise taxi’s to go into playa del carmen for $15USD each way and the same taxi driver brings you back, so that felt very safe. Overall it wasn’t a snooty 5 star hotel, just incredibly friendly and relaxed.

Nestled in a tropical setting, just steps from the beach, this hotel in Tulum is surrounded by a variety of activities and offers amenities such as free wireless internet access. Our stay at Azucar was absolutely perfect! The place is beautiful, dreamy!!!! The pool area on the beach, STUNNING!!! Everything is new, sparkling clean. The room was beautiful, tastefully decorated with quality furniture and bed linens. Powerfull AC, hot shower, large balcony with breathtaking views. The staff were all very personable and went above and beyond to provide excellent service. Xavier that took care of us on the beach is a gem and he made the best michelada i've ever had! I was travelling alone with my 6 year old daughter and we always felt safe and welcomed. She loved the pool and the direct access to the beach. Another thing to note is that the food is spectacular!!! The guacamole with chicharron, the fish tacos, the tuna tostada, the breakfasts, EVERYTHING! Quality ingredients prepared the right way. It was quiet at night and we slept like babies. There's also a stunning pool on the roof with views of the jungle and the sea. I loved everything about our stay and will absolutely return!

Attractively situated in the centre of Tulum, XscapeTulum features air-conditioned rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, free WiFi and a garden. This 4-star hotel offers a shared lounge and room service. My second time here after a year, still as good as before. Can't beat for the price!

Featuring Mexican-style décor, Hotel Casa Colibri is a sea-front boutique hotel located in the heart of Playa del Carmen. I love the Colibri. Location is great. Staff is always awesome. Very friendly and relaxed.

It had a big terrace with a jaguzzi with a seaview. The room is neat and you have a seaview from the bed. At breakfast, you can choose from the menu and eat on the beach. The location is just on the fift street and very good. The hotel staff was friendly and the hotel has a Caribbean vibes.
