This was my 4th visit to Hotel Lunata in Playa del Carmen since 2002. On the surface, very little has changed over the years. In this case, that is a very good thing! Of course there has been some modernization in that time, such as very good WiFi for each room, however the warm and inviting room design, the friendly staff and the overall impression the hotel leaves have all not changed. We again had a very pleasant visit and were sad to leave. The breakfast is very basic with some cereals, tea, coffee and toast. It’s enough to get you going into the day, but it’s not a feast and is not the main focus of this boutique hotel. It is self-service in the Lunata natural garden, just like it was in 2002. We brought some fruits from the market and the staff offered to peel and cut the fruit for us. Fantastic service.

The location was amazing, really quite and can enjoy the (private) Beach. We have enjoyed it that much and extended one more Day. The staff are friendly and attentive, plus the breakfast was very good.

Resort alike, the calm and relaxing pool was so refreshing! The sushi restaurant in the hotel was sooooo good! The hotel staff were amazing!

In front of the beach near 5th street good place for a quick stay in playa. Great value for it also, everything was working AC showers and everything was clean.
