Although there were on-going renovations, we still enjoyed our stay. We had a magnificent room overlooking Atlantic Oceans and its natural pools. The bed was comfortable and we loved the big pillows. We recommend to book with breakfast. It is worth it and perfect to fill the stomach before heading for a road trip.

Beautiful home, comfortable and completely renovated. The host Teresa is very nice. Looking forward to returning.

Detta designhotell är en renoverad traditionell bondgård uppe på en klippa med utsikt över Atlanten på Madeiras sydkust. Ponta do Sol har en fantastisk infinitypool och badtunna med panoramautsikt. Helt fantastiskt ställe. Utsikten, poolerna, frukosten allt var så bra.

Castanheiro Boutique Hotel ligger 500 meter från Marina do Funchal. Här erbjuds en utomhuspool och spacenter. Perfect location in the centre of Funchal, but very quiet surroundings. Wonderful breakfast with plenty of fresh food, also made on request. A lot of local fresh fruits. Extremely helpful personnel. Goncalo recommended us several places to eat and enjoy Funchal - all of them were just great for us. Well equipped spa. We also had a massage in the hotel. Good bar on the ground floor. We did not have time to enjoy the pool bar on the roof. We made a reservation for 2 nights, but finally we have stayed 7 nights. Unforgettable stay.
