Perfect location, perfect service, perfect food:) This place was worth every cent (or penny, depends on your currency of choice). I'm so happy I didn't decide to stay in Funchal or any other hotel closer to the airport. This place had a soul.

They went out of their way to help to recommend outstanding restaurants, activities and the happy hour was fantastic to meet other travelers. The location is excellent.

Marvellous staff, wonderful views and swimming pools. Plus, we watched a whale pass by as we sat on our balcony, overlooking the sea, drinking complimentary champagne.

We loved our stay at Golden Residences Hotel. Everything was clean and tidy. The staff was very helpful and the facilities were also top notch! Fantastic gardens, great views of the hills and sea..convenient for the buses to get into town with bus stops right outside. Beautiful breakfast every morning. Staff always helpful with any enquiries and special thanks to Manuela for arranging car hire with car dropped directly to the car park.
