We loved that it was a private owned B&B with very nice hosts and not tourist crowds. The communication had to be with translation-app, but it worked very well. The owners' daughter replied all messages very quickly. Breakfast was authentic and tasty chinese food - and if you needed more, you could always get more. They served their own green tea which was very tasty. And if you wanted to go to a hiking tour, the husband lead you to an off-the-crowd-track alongside the bamboo forest and tea-plants. Down the village next to the lake there were some nice restaurants to have dinner in walking distance.

It was an amazing experience! This is not the first time I've been here, and it has always been a very pleasant experience. If you come to China, you must not miss Arcadia Resorts. It takes only about two hours to drive from Shanghai downtown. A red cottage seems isolated from the world in the quiet mountains and endless bamboo forests, in the fresh air full of plant fragrance. Cozy and comfortable rooms, wonderful dinners, unexpected outdoor hot springs and swimming pool, and of course, the hospitable and talkative hosts. Everything is so perfect!

Moganshan Naicang Boutique Hotel is a recently renovated homestay in Deqing, where guests can makes the most of its pool with a view, water sports facilities and open-air bath.

I liked everything, the person running the hotel was so helpful. It was a long way from shops and restaurants but he took us in his car which gave him extra pocket money save calling taxi.

The hotel is Nicely furnished. Our hostess Jk was lovely and when out of her way to help us. Jk cooked us some fabulous meals asked us what we would like. She was friendly and spoke good English. We visited at a quiet time of year so she kindly drove us to a few tourists destinations and was able to ask questions on our behalf in the shops etc.

Daisy, the hotel manager, was wonderful. She was always here for us and helped us where she could. The food is great! They also made sure to reduce food waste to a minimum which is great, especially in China.
