Loved the size of the room, the balcony and the mini kitchen. Location was good, about 20 minutes walk to city centre. Staff were super friendly. Great Italian restaurant nearby called Mederanno.

The location is nice, easy to walk around the city. Everything you need is provided. There is a coffee machine in the room. The view from the window to the backyard was beautiful.

Rarely have I been so impressed by a hotel’s service, cleanliness and comfort. The staff was extremely helpful, starting by providing directions and recommendations for where to go based on the time I had available. When I mistakenly thought the sink had a defect and reported it, the staff came up immediately to try and rectify it. He explained to me how the drainage worked. The breakfast spread was also superb, with a daily homemade dish. For the morning I was there, it was an excellent French toast. The home was compact, clean and comfortable. The lighting and shower systems were also intuitive to use. There was also a nice minibar, though I didn’t use it. All in all, I felt that Stern am Rathaus was the highlight of my stay in Cologne!

Property is located near all the main cultural attractions and near all the Christmas markets. Everything is within walking distance, including all the shops, supermarkets and restaurants. It is very accessible and easy to find. Cheap parking is few meters away. Owner/Manager is always there and always at your disposal when needed. he can also be reached on the phone for whatever the reason you may have. He provided us with good tips on restaurants, shops with discount, etc. Most important is that place is absolute value for money.
