The breakfast staff were really kind to serve my friend gluten free bread every morning. The gluten free bread arrived at our table within 10 seconds of our arrival. Very impressive! Great location, very close to the city centre.

We had a great stay at Bergsteigerbude. The location is perfect, just a few steps away from the Marktplatz. The apartment was super clean and well taken care of, with great attention to detail. We especially appreciated the big modern TV with YouTube — I could easily connect my account so my son could watch cartoons. The kitchen is fully equipped, the beds are very cozy, and overall it felt like a home away from home. The view over the storybook red-tiled rooftops was absolutely magical. Communication with the staff was seamless and very prompt, everything was clear and smooth. Highly recommend!

Detailed instructions to find apartment and collect keys making it super easy when we were delayed. Very clean, warm and cosy apartment which would be fine for a family with 2 children, but extra spacious for just the two of us. Well-equipped kitchen with everything we needed to cook for ourselves. Lovely large lounge/dining room with very comfortable sofa and even a decorated Christmas tree! Good quality, comfortable beds and linen. The bathroom was lovely with a large walk-in shower. The spa bath is a real treat, though tricky to get in and out of. Not a negative for us, but the staircase to the apartment is very steep.

This stylish, welcoming hotel is located only 100 metres from the historical city of Wernigerode’s Old Town, 600 metres from the train station, and surrounded by the beautiful Harz mountains.

This hotel has been redecorated / refurbished recently, everything is so clean, so tastefully furnished, shower fantastic, bed comfortable. I arrived a little later than check-in due to DB trains putting me 2 hours behind schedule, but that was n9 problem for the staff. I didn't eat in the restaurant because I was too tired but the menu looked very good value. There is a cheap on-site sauna. Beer garden. The breakfast is one of the best I've had in ages with so much choice and the server is just too good and too happy for that time of the morning! I stayed in 2 rooms and the quality was consistent. The hotel is less than 10 minutes walk from DB and HSB teain stations.

The breakfast was delicious, the staff was super friendly and the location could not have been better. The staff all spoke English and German, so they were able to always communicate with you no matter what language you spoke. Loved the bartender Andy, he was super fun and made the trip even better!

The hotel is not only perfectly located (opposite the Rathaus and on the marketplace), it also has a large parking (both inside and outside). The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The breakfast buffet was a highlight by uts quality and variety. The restaurant was excellent as well. Our room was large (family) and quiet, the bathroom as large and with enough towels for everyone and more. The facilities were very clean, We had a wonderful stay at the Weißer Hirsch and we're very happy with our choice of hotel and city. Wernigerode is absolutely charming.
