Zzz Malang is hands down the best budget-friendly hostel in town. The dorm room was spacious and had good ventilation. The bunk beds were comfortable, and each bed had its own power socket and towel. The bathrooms were spotless and fully stocked with essentials. The hostel is in a quiet area, but a 10-minute Grab ride takes you to the train station. Lila was very welcoming and helped me book transport to Yogyakarta. Highly recommended for backpackers looking for comfort without breaking the bank!

The location is top notch, there’s convenient store, massage place, pharmacy, and plenty good restaurants nearby. They also let us borrow their bikes for free, so we can cycle in the morning to enjoy the neighborhood.

The room is massive and the bed is comfy. It’s literally a room inside a mansion. The staff are nice and helpful even if some don’t speak in english. They allowed us to do early check-in for a fair price.
