The hotel itself is beautiful with breathtaking decor and peacocks roaming in the grounds. The staff were very welcoming and we felt comfortable straight away. The breakfast was perfect with good coffee, fresh juice and lots of options and there were complimentary tea, coffee and cakes available all day, plus sparkling wine in the evenings and a bottle of port in our room. So generous. We had a view of the castle from our bedroom which was lit up at night. It was a truly magical stay.

Our double room was lovely and spacious. Huge comfortable bed, small sofa and 2 armchairs! Everything at the highest standard! I was ill so had to stay an extra night and staff were wonderful!

The flat is beautiful and very close to city. The rooms are beautiful, the windows are OK, no not too much noise during the night.

Location was brilliant, apartment was spacious and clean. We struggled with the airconditioning settings, the owner responded to the WhatsApp message within minutes and gave us clear instructions to get it working. Parking was close by as was the Pingo Doce supermarket which was very convenient. Get the lift to 7th floor to go to the apartment.

Amazing location. Can't beat it. Cristina was lovely & easy to talk to. Simple check in process. Easy to get to the castle when it opens before it got too busy :) . Would absolutely recommend.

The host was so lovely, friendly and welcoming. He gifted us pasteis de nata on arrival and gave us loads of great recommendations in Lisbon and also Porto. The apartment had everything we needed. The location was also perfect.
