City is beautiful with amazing architecture , people and climate. Has Charming narrow streets. I wish I had more time to explore , but will surely come back ! My fave spots were Bairo Alto, a trip with tram 28 is recommended and offers a nice view of the city. Taxis are cheap. A visit to Hotel Mundial roof top bar is recommended and offers a great view over the Lisbon skyline and great drinks. A VISIT TO Alfama is recommended as well- a vibrant quarter, pulsating and with Latin music. Lissabon has it all.
Loved Lisbon. Lots to see/do. Especially recommend Fado museum and national tile museum. Stayed in Chiado area near Cais do Sodre. Easy walk to waterfront. Very like San Francisco, California, with hills, cable cars, and bridge. Enjoyed a tug-tuk tour picked up at end of cable car 28 ride. (Not pre-booked, but excellent and personable English speaking driver.) Bought a Lisboa card and used bus system successfully. Buy ticket to bypass crowds at palace in Sintra if you want to see that. We went to Sintra and enjoyed the area but skipped palace.
This city is well written up, but we were disappointed. 3 days is probably long enough. Some attractions such as the tile museum disappoint. A very noisy city with ancient trams and a thundering underground. Huge variety within the city. We stayed in two very different areas and much preferred the first near the Rato. The river front region is spacious and expensive. Beware the grossly overcharging airport taxi drivers. They have numerous excuses for doubling the price. Uber better.c
We use a 72 hours Lisbon card to travel around the city. Good and convenient use but could be better if the card provide us with a guide that has related link or website to get the relevant information such as bus schedule and way to get there. English information in the tourist area is not enough.
Lisbon is an incredible city! Easy to walk and get everywhere. The tourist info office offers free walking tours to get you acclimated to the various areas. Restaurants are very reasonable and offer an amazing variety of foods. Fresh seafood is a specialty. Many places have happy hours, too. We stayed in the Chiado area near the center of town. Easy access to buses, Tuk-Tuks, taxis, the train. Get a Lisbon pass that allows travel on the buses, train and boats. Also the Navegante card is great for train travel to other areas such as Belem for €3.25 round trip! Lisbon doesn’t disappoint! Favorite restaurants include:Basilio for breakfast/ brunch, Goodfellas in the pedestrian area- inexpensive food and a great happy hour, Maria Catita- delicious seafood, and Le Petite Cafe.
The Ubers really are as cheap, easy, 24hrs a day as everyone said. It is a very big city, easier to walk than i expected. People were friendly and helpful. There is a great mall right next to the main train station with a nice food court and very big supermarket. From there, it's a short walk to the oceanarium.
Our flight was cancelled and we had to book a hotel in Lisbon overnight- couldn’t have stayed in a better place! The staff were so lovely and warm, the bed was extremely comfortable for our aching bodies, and we were chuffed with the slippers and bathrobes! After an exhausting day sorting out new flights and accommodation, we got the best night’s sleep ever thanks to the lovely bed! The location is fab, very central and we were able to potter around Lisbon to see the sights while waiting to go to the airport. Would definitely recommend.
Better and more friendly service than I've gotten in most 5 star hotels. Everyone from the front desk, to the bar tender, to the restaurant staff to the room cleaners - All of them were truly exceptional and friendly. The room itself was spacious, clean, and sexy. Bigger than the pictures make it seem. The restaurant food was also great, and make sure you catch a cabaret show while you are here. It is worth the money! Finally, it is located centrally, right next to metros, bars, and restaurants. You won't do better in Lisbon.
Everything was perfect, one of the best hotels I've been, very beautiful and modern with many small details that takes you to a special experience. Everything was very clean, quite neighborhood and close to malls and the airport. The breakfast was perfect, many varieties of food, and covid19 precautions are being taken very seriously. But the most important thing, the staff, amazing staff, friendly, caring, professional, really the top of the top, 5 stars!! Thank you!
Air conditioner was high quality, which especially came in handy because it was 92 degrees in Lisbon, but the AC got my room frigid. The staff was incredibly helpful and kind - they let me check in early, and when I forgot my key in my room, it was so easy to get a new one. The hotel is right by the botanical gardens and one of the best lookout sights in Lisbon. And the metro was very close by. Room was clean, and cleaned every day. Loved my stay here!
Very nice hotel, seems to be newly renovated. Staff was helpful and friendly, at breakfast there was plenty to choose from, the rooms were spacious and comfortable. It is not located near the city centre but there are lots of restaurants and shopping options nearby. Public transportation is also good in Lisbon, the metro station is 2-3 minutes walk from the hotel, the bus station is right in front of it. The airport is also easy to reach from the hotel
Estrela, Lisbon
This is a great place to stay in Lisbon. The location is close to the city centre as well as the airport, there are many shops, cafes and museums close by. The room was nicely decorated, bright and had everything we needed. Bed was comfy and the hotel is in a quiet area so we had a good night's rest. Staff is great, always with a smile and there to help you (greetings to Davi!). Breakfast was delicious and fresh. Would recommend!
Santa Maria Maior, Lisbon
Location: The hotel was located right on the Number 24 trolley line which is famous for providing the best tour of the old section of Lisbon. Our room was charming, clean and comfortable. A kitchen down the hall was available; it had a fridge, microwave and coffee/tea maker. The staff were absolutely great; they were extremely helpful with local information and assistance with our device charging issues.
Listen folks, it’s a cheap hotel in general but good standard. Too sterile vs the work paid 5 star hotel on same city but did the job very well for an extra night. Convenience stores near by. I did not have breakfast there so I cannot comment on the food. Location was good but uphill on Lisbon pavements with Willy bag on a rainy day not a great combination. Overall very pleased with product I got.
Excellent location, superb staff, beautifully appointed. An unforgettable stay in a stunning hotel, made even better by the warmth and helpfulness of the amazing staff - special mention to Fredrico who went above and beyond to ensure we had the best experience. To top it all the roof bar had the best views of Lisbon. Altogether its the perfect base from which to explore magical Lisbon.
Reception personnel were quick for check-in and check-out. Extremally helpful people, we lost our luggage at Lisbon Airport and my husband asked them to follow up the procedure and they did it in a very professional way until we received our luggage. Room was big and the bathroom shower one of the best, no water clogged and no water on the bathroom floor which I face in most hotels!
the hotel was a nice size compared to the hotels in Europe we stayed at. the hotel is centrally located plenty of restaurants near by and metro access around the corner. The staff were out of this world they mapped us stuff to do everyday . The staff were the best I ever experienced . 5 star hotel
We liked EVERYTHING and this hotel is our go to first choice for Lisbon. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful with any type of directions/reservations. The included breakfast includes the best variety/quality in all of Lisbon in our opinion. The location is fantastic.
The staff is fantastic, definitely a 5 stars service! Super nice and willing to help with everything that we needed. The room was very clean with comfortable bed and an amazing view. We recommend this wonderful hotel and if we will visit again Lisbon we will book again this hotel.
The staff was exceptionally friendly and serviced minded. There were 8 in our group and we unanimously said this was the best hotel service we have experienced. I would absolutely stay here again when visiting Lisbon. First class and professional in all aspects. A great pick!
room size, room view, breakfast quality high, restaurants at hotel, parking in the hotel building, staff was very helpful and friendly. All very clean, hand sanitizer everywhere, lots of careful procedures in place. Top notch. One of the best 5 star options in Lisbon
Very clean, good facilities, excellent breakfast homemade and with very friendly staff. I could surely say it is a 4 or 5 star hotel without any doubt. I would come here for sure for a next stay in Lisbon.
the hotel is very neat, clean, stylish and cozy. I’ve been to Lisbon so many times and it is definitely one of the best boutique hotels I’ve ever stayed at
