The location of the hotel is perfect, right in the middle of the old town. The building looks amazing, especially with the lights on at night, and the rooftop with its bar is perfect. I didn't get the chance to try the restaurant, but there was some live music on the terrasse on Saturday night. We had an ice cream listening to it, it was great ! The breakfast is really good and the room as beautiful as the rest of the hotel. Would definitely stay there again !

Probably the comfiest hotel bed we've ever slept in - the quality of the sheets, matress and pillows was incredible. we got a free upgrade to a suite, the room was enormous and beautiful, with a freestanding bathtub. Breakfast was delicious, the hotel design was very fun. Beautiful rooftop pool and bar. Staff very friendly and accomodating. Would love to go back!

It was a very nice and cozy hotel room, with small details that helped us a lot. Our room and in general Caju hotel is very clean and organized. The ladies in the reception desk gave us a lot of infos about what we can do during our stay (special thank to that). For sure is a hotel that we would like to visit again. If you book there you should try the breakfast, it's delicious!

Everything was elegant and top quality, so much attention to detail that made our stay feel so luxurious. We had a suite with garden access, with a large veranda area. The whole suite was very spacious and very comfortable. Service and support was top notch! Breakfast views from the Avista restaurant are stunning. The food was excellent, and we would highly recommend having lunch and dinner there if time allows. We had access to the facilities of the Cliff Bay hotel next door, wish we had more time to make full use of everything on offer!

Everything! Staff were great and location was 30 seconds to the old town with a ton of restaurant options. All the staff from the front desk to Carlos and Jose in the bar were extremely friendly and great at their jobs! Would definitely stay here again.

A beautiful holiday home, tastefully furnished and decorated...

A beautiful holiday home, tastefully furnished and decorated, with a terrace overlooking the ocean, a comfortable living room, spacious bedrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen, located in a quiet residential area. Ana is the perfect host. She made sure we had all the information we needed upon arrival and even welcomed us with a lovely note written in Romanian. I highly recommend this wonderful place!

Very interesting and historical town.

Very interesting and historical town. Well located as far as visiting other nearby places of interest. If you rent a car, get a fairly powerful one and preferable automatic. There are lots of very steep hills. Book a car rental early if you need one in peak season. There are lots of local car rental agencies, in and around Funchal, but they may not be able to assist if you leave your car rental booking to the last minute.

We are old so like sitting at cafes people watching, having a wander round then something to eat. Later a drink and ice cream. Love seeing the fancy pavements, beautiful buildings and gorgeous trees, flowers and fruit. Also lovely friendly, helpful people.

Funchal seemed very affordable; in one street cafe, a small coffee (espresso) and a pastel de nata was 1 euro 80 cents. The cable car was excellent as were the gardens at the top of the cable car. Tip: we stayed at the Enotel Lido (fine for a short break) and outside the hotel on the promenade was a kiosk offering "cable car and toboggan" for 10 euros per person. Too good to be true? we had to attend a "presentation" which we were assured was not time share (it wasn't!!) but it was selling a vacation club for the Pestana group of hotels, so similar. If you have 2 hours to spare, and you're strong enough to NOT sign anything you can get the vouchers!! They provided a taxi to the presentation and back (we walked back tho) and a taxi the next day to the cable car and again we walked back. Saved 60 euros or thereabouts!

Staff were very friendly, special mention to Sofia in Guest Services she was very friendly, very knowledgable and accomodating always looking for ways to help and improve your visit in Madeira. The hotel is in a great location close to shops and restaurants and only about 10 minutes away in a taxi from Funchal centre. There's also buses regularly going past on the main road with great connections. The view from the hotel is fantastic as it's right by the coast, very beautiful!

Superb place I loved the rooms I loved the personnel Everyone is very attentive to what you need . Breakfast is wonderful and if you go out early to hikes than they prepare breakfast to go . Just notify on time. The restaurant above is wonderful. You can have there dinner if you don't want to drive to funchal . It's about 8-10 minutes drive. The hotel is next to the cable car and the madeira palace. The personnel makes the place perfect

Excellent location in Funchal. 10 min or less walk to the harbour and old town Hotel facilities were excellent. Cleanliness excellent and all staff, friendly and happy to help. Pool was lovely along with the food and drink at the pool bar. Breakfast choices were excellent. If im visiting madeira again, which I hope so, I will be coming back to The Views. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Reception staff - Cesar was very helpful, providing maps, and relevant hotel and local information, providing a warm welcome, and booking taxis. The roof terrace and bar area were a pleasant retreat space, small but adequate. Excellent location for accessing Funchal centre, and opposite the public gardens.

The hotel is at an awesome location, near the shopping centre, Funchal’s old town is 35-40mins on foot. The staff is professional and friendly, really helpful. The breakfast is wholesome, you can find something new every day. The facilities are nice, but the ocean is also close so you can swim there too.
