The recently renamed Lisbon Humberto Delgado Airport (formerly Lisbon Portela Airport) is located 4 miles (7 kilometres) from the city centre. An efficient public transportation system ensures passengers arrive quickly and comfortably. Hop on the Aeroporto-Saldanha Metro to downtown Lisbon, catch a local bus, or travel directly to your destination on the Airport Shuttle. Alternatively, take a taxi, which will go by a meter and should cost around EUR 12.

Was handy for the airport, only 10 minutes. The host, Wagner , arranged a taxi for me for the following morning. I bought some food and prepared in the kitchen so didn't have time to look around Camarate.

We did not choose to stay in Sacavém to 'see' Sacavém. We rented a car and wanted something close to the airport. We used the car rental to visit other places in Portugal. Although, the host recommended Courela do Fouguete restaurant was awesome albeit little English.

Great to have the elevator to the floor 2 apartment to bring the suitcases up and down so that they could be organized and packed for the trip home. Ana and Jorge provide clean, comfortable accommodations at a reasonable price. Perfect for the last night close to the airport before leaving Lisbon the next morning; twenty minute drive to the airport. In the double room with bathroom, a small alcove with refrigerator, hot water pot, and table was convenient to have a glass of wine in the evening and a quick snack in the morning.
Disliked · Only room in Portugal that did not supply a hairdryer. Perhaps it was so that the sound would not disturb neighboring guests, as it is a room in an apartment.

The apartment is very spacious and only 10 minutes from the airport, which is super convenient. There are two large shopping malls nearby, ideal for shopping and dining. The atmosphere is calm, fresh, and peaceful. The apartment was spotless, and the host was always very communicative, helpful, and attentive making our stay perfect.

Lisbon completely captivated us with its incredible energy, endless sights, and welcoming vibes. It was an absolute paradise for the kids, who were thrilled to find exceptional gelato around every corner—especially our stops at Gelateria Romana and Amorino. Navigating the city was a breeze, whether we were hopping on the historic Tram 28, catching a bus, or riding the rails from Rossio Station.
Our day trip to the fairytale hills of Sintra was an absolute blast, but the real magic happened when we took a wrong turn on the train and accidentally ended up in Belém. That detour turned into an unforgettable adventure. We spent hours marveling at the stunning architecture of the Jerónimos Monastery, strolling along the waterfront of the Tagus River near the Belém Tower, and just soaking in the local culture. From the phenomenal dining experiences at Time Out Market Lisbon to the simple joy of people-watching, every single moment was full of wonder.

Family home, private and comfortable room, clean and with everything we needed to rest after missing our flight. For the price we paid, it was fair. Nothing fancy, the bathroom was clean with hot water for a shower, and there was also toilet paper and shower gel. We notified the owners by message when booking that we would arrive at 9 pm. They were friendly, and we parked our car for free on the side street, not on the main street. We would definitely stay there again

The Grande Pensao Residencial Alcobia we did not stay in because look in my comments above . We ended up getting a uber driver to show us sites after we settled finally into a much needed Hotel where we stayed from July 7-11th.

The apartment had plenty of towels, all the kitchen essentials to cook meals, very bright and well decorated. Attention to details was outstanding. It felt very homely, we had access to things like an iron , portable heaters were provided on request plus plenty of blankets to keep warm. Little things like olive oil, sugar, basic condiments and seasonings were available in the kitchen.The owner was responsive, flexible and accommodating. It was an amazing experience overall and will definitely book again .
