Hotel in Sintra City Center, Sintra
Situated in the heart of the UNESCO heritage town of Sintra, the 4-star Tivoli Sintra Hotel offers accommodation in a tranquil setting, offering panoramic views across a dramatic landscape. We were pleasantly surprised when we had a queen bed. The listing said double and in the United States, that means a smaller bed. The room had a beautiful terrace with great views of the surrounding area. The staff was amazing. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. We came back to our hotel late at night with friends and we were given a table off the main lobby where we were able to visit and have a drink before leaving the next day. We had the breakfast in the morning before leaving and it was very good and the dining room area is beautiful. Large windows with beautiful views. The location was also perfect. We had a large van and were able to park right in front of the hotel, which was a huge relief after seeing our friends location and the lack of parking. Our room was located off the main lobby but it was extremely quiet and private from that part of the building.

This place blew our minds! Bright, spacious, clean with excellent amenities and programming for kids. The staff was courteous and helpful at every turn - very well trained. Our kids loved visiting the various pools (there are 4) in between the trampoline park and carousel. Buffet dinner was good, as was the breakfast. Adequate fitness centre. It was also close enough to anywhere we wanted to go in Sintra. Beautiful experience - we will definitely be looking to visit the other hotel locations!

Located in centre of the historic UNESCO town of Sintra, this boutique hotel offers rooms and suites with views of the old town and Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. Breakfast was great. Staff was amazing. The young lady (I never can remember her name!) was helpful with dinner reservations , as was Duart We were very, very impressed with Duart. He is so poised and so confident for such a young man. The young man who checked us out really saved us. He asked our next destination. We said Cascais and he informed us that would not travel there directly by train. So, he called the taxi driver we used previously and we arrived in Cascais in 15 minutes and it only cost €19. A very pleasant stay in magical Sintra!

Just 3 minutes’ drive from Praia Grande, Oceano offers panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and Serra de Sintra. Oceano is highly underrated considering the what one gets for the price. Surrounded by pine forests and the Sintra Mountain Range, this hotel is a 3-minute drive from the beach. It offers air-conditioned rooms and has an outdoor pool with a sun-lounger terrace. I don't know what people are whining about. This is a great 2-star beach hotel with faded 60's-era charm. The room is nothing special but the bathroom was nice and the grounds were lovely. For the price it was a great deal.

great town with a lot of monuments to visit! Great palaces and amazing gardens! Besides that, great location to hike in the mountains and also visit the amazing beaches and Cabo da Roca nearby. Allow some days in the town to be able to visit everything, but be aware of the tourist masses especially on summer months.
This was the best city of our 3 city tour. I don’t know how anyone only does a day tour here. We stayed too nights and still too short! We would have stayed a extra night if we thought we could get Covid tests for our flight home. Best meal of our lives was at Araposa. Amazing!!
Sintra is a beautiful town, no matter the Castle, Palace, Garden,....etc famous attractions, even the small alley, street trees, local houses are full of history and beauty. I would visit it again if I have chance.
The old part of Sintra is absolutely beautiful - palaces and mansions tucked in among the trees or on hilltops, spectacular views, etc - and there are lots of good bars and restaurants. Its very quick and easy to reach by train from Lisbon (c. 45 mins) and a choice of buses (417 - quick; 403 scenic) will take you to Cascais on the coast, home to the wonderful Casa das Histórias Paula Rego. But, even in April it was packed with tourists (including ourselves of course!) which means long queues to get into the main attractions, such as Palau Pena. Many only make a day trip, so staying over for a couple of nights means you get to enjoy Sintra when it is less packed.
My favorite spot was the National Palace. I enjoyed Peña Palace, but think it’s overrated, and very crowded. Hard to enjoy with so many people and I went at 10 AM. Don’t miss the English tour at Quinta da Regaleira, advanced booking required. You need to climb a lot of stairs at the Moorish Castle, but I wouldn’t miss it.
Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds! Sintra is a magical place, with lots of palaces and interesting follys. No doubt there are a few tourist traps too: but we avoided those, and had a wonderful stay and visit. We stayed in the amazingly located and good value Hotel Sintra Jardim; and ate an outstanding evening meal at nearby Nau Palatina restaurant - and would go back to both again, if/when we visit Sintra another time in the future. Our favourite palace was Monserrate.
The location was in a location that made a lot of activities accessible, the only drawback being parking was very tight. However, that is the norm for Portugal and as Americans we are spoiled with a lot of accessible parking and more room. The house had many amenities we have never seen in another rental and we have booked through Booking dozens of times. Beautiful linens, an iron and ironing board, a bottle of wine. They have gone out of their way to make their place nicer than most people’s homes to stay!
This stay was the best I had during my time in Portugal. Nice, self-contained unit with 2 bedrooms, lounge, kitchen, dining and bathroom. Has pellet-burning heater to warm the unit. and a patio outside with chairs and table. Host Gabriela was very hospitable and made excellent recommendations of what to see in the area (sunset at Praia da Adraga was amazing!). Upon arrival she had provided bread, ham, cheese, honey and cookies which were all delicious and much appreciated! Was also nice to meet the dogs.
We had a great stay at Galo Preto! Mario and Paula are very attentive and lovely hosts! They cooked us really yummy breakfast from the vegetables in their garden (including tomato jam and beet root ice cream!) and we got useful tips for our trip through Portugal. The room was comfortable and spotless and had a great view onto Sintra and its castles. There's a parking lot right outside the house, so parking wasn't an issue at all. Definitely recommended to explore Sintra and surroundings from!
Sintra
Sandra is very hospitable and does everything to make you feel at home. Everything was clean and in the kitchen everything is present to make your own meal. The bed is large and comfy compared to what we had in North Portugal, and it gets comfortable warm inside (that might seem obvious until you have experienced the North :)). On walking distance to the cliffs and ocean.
This was a gorgeous hotel from top to bottom. I loved the size of our room and the quality of the linens. I absolutely fell in love with the mohair blanket. The decor was amazing and the heated pool was a nice touch. I can not say enough nice thing about this hotel. I will be looking into all the Key boutique hotels in the future.
Sintra
The chalet Saudade is historic and is in the perfect location to see all the sights. If you are traveling to Portugal, don't miss a trip to Sintra. Many take a day trip from Lisbon by train but you are missing out on a real treasure if you don't spend a few days in this city!!!
All of the staff were warm and welcoming. The room was the perfect size and had a marvelous balcony. The European breakfast was bountiful and had a great selection. Good coffee was made available. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sintra.
Marcos the owner went above and beyond to make sure we saw all the sites in Sintra that we were interested in. He made recommendations for beach walks that were incredible. I couldn’t recommend this property more highly.
Everything! The place is adorable, room was nice and had everything needed. Zilda’s scrambled eggs in the morning have been the best I’ve had since being in Portugal and breakfast with a view was a huge bonus.
Hotel with great location in heart of historical center of Sintra. With balcony and view to the Valley. Room is very comfortable. A bit old furniture but bathroom and bed are in very good level.
Sintra
The staff were excellent. The hotel is lovely - chandeliers and interesting decor - our daughter was stunned by the ‘luxury’ ! Nice pool and beautiful views of the moorish castle

Very nice property! Super clean. knowledgeable and professional stuff. Our suite was one of the highlights of our trip! Excellent breakfast. Amazing view! Location is superb! 5 min walkingdistance to center with all restaurants, shops and transportation hubs. Hotel has few free street parking spaces. Also there is garage near by. Considering its location it is not bad at all!
Sintra
The view from this room at the bottom of the property was wonderful, overlooking the mountains. We could see two of the Palaces from our window. Breakfast was wonderful and delivered to us due to covid and we ate out on the deck. We could walk to everything and enjoyed the town of Sintra very much.
The view is absolutely amazing and worth every penny. The breakfast is decent too and the restaurant has great options for dinner.
Beautiful historic palace with a nice garden. Great breakfast and dinner at the hotel restaurant.
