Great location, beautiful views right in the heart of Sintra & right by the Hop-on-Hop- off bus. The room appeared dated but was roomy, high ceilings, window seating. Breakfast was great and I was able to actually get milk for tea and coffee unlike the rooms.

A nice place to visit but full of tourists. The nature around is beautiful and you can visit some of the attractions but expect a lot of people. You can find anything from beaches to forests, all in a 15-minute drive. The roads are narrow and it's hard to park.

There are many historical places in Sintra that can be reached on foot. if you go to the right of the historical museum you can find a small restaurant on the balcony where they bake bread in a wood-fired oven. unfortunately I forgot the name, but you can see the sign. Very charming. And visit Long Beach and the restaurant near the rock and try octopus on the grill. Very recommended.

The roads are very tight, the crowds of visitors are intense and some of the locals working in local shops/restaurants are very rude and completely over having to deal with tourists. However, the views are amazing and the Moorish Castle was very cool. Difficult place to travel but worth it!

Sintra was a lovely town but I like Aveiro better especially the hotel we stayed in. The hike to the palace is not that hard. Proper hiking shoes and clothes should be worn. It is not a stroll through a park. You will be climbing up and down narrow stairs. Bring water. The palace is beautiful!.

Very touristy and difficult to manage with a car. Quite pricy. Good food at Tascantiga though. Pena palace was too busy to enjoy properly though the Moorish castle was great. Shame didn't have enough time to visit Quinta da Regaleira.

really beautiful city. if you have time, you can spend up to 5 days with enough interesting sightseeing to visit. the traffic is heavy so I recommend to take buses or walking because uber/bolts can take too long to arrive where you are. the best was a hiking from Sinta Palace to the historical center, really nice views

We liked the back garden. It was nice to relax after walking all day. The staff were very kind and helpful. They let us know the Palace had timed visits. This was very important. Our advice is to arrive early as possible for the palace. We were able to access an iron which is not always possible in Portugal. The location is great as it is a short walk from the train station and close to many restaurants. The hotel is 140 years old and has lots of stairs. The staff were happy to help with bags.

Room was airy, well- ventilated, and one could open the balcony door for fresh air. Lovely, quiet, view. Bed and bathroom linen were very good. Furniture met all requirements- closet space, room for suitcases, spacious beside tables, mirrors, extra chair etc. Breakfast was excellent quality and the best we had among 4 hotels we stayed at in Lisbon, Coimbra, Porto and Sintra. Staff were very helpful, courteous, friendly, professional and knowledgeable.

Beautiful mountain views of Sintra Vila below and the Castle above. Enjoyed the quiet village life of Sao Pedro - a gem in itself. Isa was an ideal host who provided all the necessary comforts and expert orientation on all the attractions of the Sintra area and beyond. I wish I could have stayed longer. A wonderful place to relax and refresh. Thank you Isa for an excellent start to my first visit to Portugal!

This is an immaculate, well presented boutique hotel just metres from the centre of Sintra. It was recently renovated to the highest standard and beautifully done. We got engaged during our stay, so the hotel now owns a piece of our hearts. The owner is extremely accommodating, going so far as to wait for our arrival to move her car and give us her parking spot. It’s a beautiful family run hotel.

Very helpful staff. I was under the weather when I was there and the hotel personnel gave me the help I needed. The hotel is around 15mins drive to Sintra and close to beach Maças where you can enjoy sea view and food. The hotel offers different kind of events in the public area as well. It’s a very nice idea, but sure sometimes it comes with noise. But in general, it was a comfortable stay.

Good location in Sintra for exloring the palaces. Great room with all necessary facilities. However, the biggest draw are the hosts who are amazingly helpful, provide a host of valuable information to a tourist and are generally very interesting people to talk to. This is the best thing there is in staying in small private-run hotels - meeting real people. A real pleasure.

The hotel was very nice, and the views are outstanding! You couldn't be in a more beautiful spot on the coast. The location is great, just outside of Sintra and an easy drive to Cascais. The pool is HUGE and looks like an extension of the beach. The hotel breakfast was delicious and dinner was wonderful too. Would highly recommend.
