We had a wonderful three-day stay at this modern hotel next to the city-center. The room was very nice, with a spacious, well-designed bathroom and beach towels were also provided! A real highlight was the rooftop terrace with sun loungers and tables available to all guests – the perfect spot to enjoy the bottle of white wine that was waiting for us in the room as a welcome gift! The reception was very warm and welcoming - thank you for that! We also had the pleasure of briefly meeting the owner of the hotel, which was a lovely and enriching experience. Such a kind and inspiring person! We’d be happy to come back! Obrigada e até à próxima!

As an airport hotel, simply - perfect Perfect location. Very clean, specious, decorated in modern, simple design. Without anything excessive or intrusive. Beds are super comfortable and we were surprised how peaceful this neighborhood is since Faro airport is quite busy. Everything was were it should be, how airport hotel supposed to be designed.and organized. Hotel has my absolute recommendations.

Our flight out of Faro was delayed for 24 hours and so we booked a room at Hotel Ibis Faro Algarve. All of our stress about the delayed flight melted away once we spent the afternoon in the sun by the quite and relaxing pool. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating. It was awesome to have access to a computer and printer to print our boarding passes. Great place to stay that is close to the airport with a fantastic pool and very comfortable beds!

The location is very convenient, very close to the city center. The hotel is well mantained, everything clean, the room big enough for two people, bathroom clean and spacious. Our room was really quiet. Breakfast was sufficient. Very efficient and helpfull staff.

It was the perfect location, very close to the airport. Rooms were comfortable with everything we needed, especially the air conditioning and fridge. Andrea at reception was so helpful and friendly. Also the cleaning ladies were helpful when we got to our room. Even though we did not use it, the pool certainly looked inviting in the heat.

The city has some beautiful and interesting architecture and it's good to see that some of the more dilapidated buildings are being restored. We found local people very friendly, helpful and welcoming. It's a great place for a peaceful and restful break. We were not looking for a holiday with lots of beach time but enjoyed one day at Faro beach and particularly enjoyed getting a ferry to and from the beach. Loved the food!

Faro is a small town and very easy to find your way around.

Faro is a small town and very easy to find your way around. Most interesting was the Church of bones. Also close to Benagil Caves which we visited. It is a good place to make it a base to visit the small towns around it. Has an airport with direct flights from Toronto.

Faro is a quiet seaside town and I very much enjoyed our stay. We went to the local beach, explored the town of Faro and had a day trip to explore the Algarve Coastline. We had some time to relax as well. There are lots of shops and restaurants. We really enjoyed the tapas dishes at A do Pinto. Burned cheese, pork cheek, and grilled squid were absolutely delicious.

Faro is a great quiet little city compared to others like Lisbon in Portugal. The old town is lovely and relaxing to walk around. I would always recommend for those looking more local and quiet break to try Quarteira near by - large beach with easy access on your doorstep with amazing bakeries, and can do day visits easily into Faro city. Would always recommend getting the ferry from Olhao to Armona Island for a relaxing day of beaches and quietness.

It’s very rustic and the old town is beautiful in that way.

It’s very rustic and the old town is beautiful in that way. We went for a sunset boat trip which was excellent and our highlight in Faro was a tile painting workshop at 900atelier (which we’d recommend to anybody!). We also visited Olhao for a brief day visit and use Faro as a base to visit Seville for a few nights over the border in Spain

A nice mix of interesting buildings, good restaurants and cafes, opportunity to see bird life. Recommend one day for sightseeing and one day for boat trips (recommend the eco tour birdwatching trip). You only need 2-3 days. We found a superb family run restaurant round the corner from our hotel - “local by gois”

Quiet back street location in walking distance of the centre of Faro and the coach station. Good base for a stay or pre flight. Excellent restaurant next door. Booking.com organised taxi to the airport worked very well. Will stay again when in Faro.

Breakfast was great 👍 If you are staying for the night and looking for dinner ask them to tell you about their family run restaurant called O Rui .. fresh fish on the beach and it was very very good 😊

Pleasant friendly young girl on reception at a local hostel gave us the keys and directed us to the apartment only about 80-100m away. This was the first night in Portugal and using Booking.com. It was a pleasant surprise to find the apartment so large, clean, tidy, etc.
